Jane and her class had spent the entire fall reading the Odyssey. Indeed it was their odyssey through the Odyssey and soon they would have spent more time on the book than the original trip took. To celebrate what we thought was the end of the book -- what did we know -- they had an odyssey celebration at which they showed their projects.

We started to explore and admired the chess set IMG_0617 the board game IMG_0618 and the book IMG_0619 about the book when we ran into Priscilla Scheiner IMG_0620 and then took a picture of her with Dan IMG_0621 but it's impossible to ever get them both to open their eyes at the same time.

So it was back to projects -- the one made from PlayMobil IMG_0622 another chess set IMG_0623 some Lego IMG_0624 the Olympians IMG_0625 and the finest project of all IMG_0626 which was, most unfortunately, destroyed by a teacher who then blamed it on the principal. This concern didn't take away from Phil Haimm's good mood IMG_0627 and Lucy and Rosie IMG_0628 and the Crans IMG_0629 IMG_0630 and Fred IMG_0631 were still willing to pose even though Jojo IMG_0632 did his raincoat over the head imitation and Jane IMG_0633 IMG_0634 was only giving side views even as Fred's story IMG_0635 IMG_0636 excited the assembled.

The project group IMG_0637 and its inner core IMG_0638 posed for team pictures as the crowds gathered IMG_0639 and the man with the white beard appeared IMG_0640 but there was still a diorama to see IMG_0641 and the ancient Greek recited IMG_0642 for everyone's amusement IMG_0643 as Kevin IMG_0644 posed with Anna IMG_0645 to bring an end to our odyssey.

It having been an odyssey, it seemed to make sense to record my hat IMG_0646 IMG_0647 IMG_0648 in the car and the outside IMG_0649 and inside IMG_0650 and outside IMG_0651 IMG_0652 IMG_0653 IMG_0654 from our odyssey home where we were met by Meredith IMG_0655 who was drinking tea instead of taking her own odyssey. Or maybe tea is part of her odyssey?
