Jane was invited to spend some days visiting Lucy at the beach. So we started by going to the farm stand IMG_1271 IMG_1272 IMG_1273 IMG_1274 where they had an elegant facility IMG_1275 and Suzanne made her purchases IMG_1276 of nuts and breads and fruits and vegetables to bring for the journey.

At the appointed time, we called the right number and sure enough, Carolyn IMG_1277 and Lucy IMG_1278 were at our car window directing us down the street IMG_1279 to the porch where Michael IMG_1280 was waiting.

We sat on their deck overlooking the dock IMG_1281 and the yacht club IMG_1282 as food IMG_1283 appeared and Michael, Lucy and Jane IMG_1284 Suzanne IMG_1285 Caroline IMG_1286 and David IMG_1287 enjoyed wraps IMG_1288 and sandwiches IMG_1289 as a lady bug climbed into Lucy's glass IMG_1290 IMG_1291 IMG_1292 IMG_1293 IMG_1294 which David could center IMG_1295 only after many tries and then a fly celebrated by climbing into his wine glass IMG_1296 to allow him to show that he knew how to center the picture. After exquisite chocolates IMG_1297 and cookies IMG_1298 we recorded the flag IMG_1299 and took sideways IMG_1300 and back to back pictures of Jane and Lucy IMG_1301 and then repeated the series for their mom's IMG_1302 IMG_1303 before my group went to the beach IMG_1304 where Jane and Lucy posed again IMG_1305 in front of the old hotel IMG_1306 IMG_1307 and then began to bury Jane IMG_1308 IMG_1309 IMG_1310 IMG_1311 IMG_1312 in the sand. When she re-emerged, it was time to go back to Princeton. So, after gassing up at the slowest gas station ever IMG_1313 we took the trip home for the day knowing that there would be another beach day in our future.
