After a few years of discussion, we finally found a time when Tom Button IMG_0052 and Dave Treadwell IMG_0055 could come back to Princeton and see how things had changed since 1987 and 1989. Amy Seng IMG_0053 was happy to describe the climate for the class of 2004 and Beth Lind IMG_0054 could fill things in from the 1995 perspective as well as being a returning alum. The dessert that TomR put together IMG_0056 had Jane IMG_0057 excited as they insisted on taking group pictures IMG_0058 and then assembled the local version of a .NET team IMG_0059 There may not be 850 of us but we are Princeton in service of .NET.

The talks were great (if the room lighting was not as great). Tom began IMG_0060 with stories of life at BCG and then got happier IMG_0061 as his life moved to Microsoft. Then Dave gave us his first rule IMG_0062 his second rule IMG_0063 which he worked at IMG_0064 and then his third rule IMG_0065 for success. As the talk wound down, the excited speakers could hardly stand still IMG_0066 as the lottery drew near. I finished my diet coke IMG_0067 and then had to head home.

The next day, I helped Jane lift the paper IMG_0068 and look inside IMG_0069 to see that her marigold seeds IMG_0070 IMG_0071 had sprouted. This enabled me to go to lunch with Shirley and Maria IMG_0072 Dave IMG_0073 and Tom IMG_0074 where we were able to have a long frank discussion from which I hope a wonderful relationship between Princeton and Microsoft will emerge.
