where we saw this sign in Hebrew
This is one of the first building Gaudi designed. The facade was very impressive
that adds to our collection of pictures of Benjamin in front of Pokemon signs in foreign countries. The last building was this apartment building with no straight lines
of a remarkable building. We also enjoyed the trilingual nature of things with the Basque translations of all of the signs. We walked up these steps
to try and absorb the design of the museum. The lines and pieces were remarkable
that dates from the 12th century. We knew we'd be going back there; we just didn't realize how much time we'd be spending there. We did follow the signs

and we noted the nature signs
that made up the morning's continental breakfast. After eating, we were able to make it all the way to dinner with only the afternoon tea break. The pastries were no better than OK with some better than others but the fruits were very good. After breakfast, we needed to prepare for the day ahead -- a very beautiful day. We photographed the sign

as the class went by
and view the class of 2006 through the class of 1942
as the last member
as the classes of 1948
as the 45th reunion class of 1962 arrived
before giving way to 1963
gave rise to 1998
and the signs of the local snack bar.
After a long drive that ended in town, we found the Nicholas restaurant
as we continued along the path
and noted the curve of the land
and then settling in for breakfast
This large piece
and a few more road pictures
and as Ben and Suzanne showed off our purchases
and so went in
where we met this large French group coming down
and then went down to see the tadpoles here
and we saw a stream bubbling to our side as we moved forward
and then I posed with the sign
and then with a modification of the sign I liked better
as Suzanne came down the trail to join us.
we knew that right through this pass was our car and the end of the walk.
we headed back to our condo and on to the swimming pool where I took this picture of the children swimming
and the Cadillac restaurant
So we marched on and enjoyed the lake
I marched on further down the trail with this stream emerging
as Ben and Suzanne hiked along
Having finished the 8 miles (or so) we headed to the Signal Mountain Lodge for a celebration
the announcers booth
and this sign was a plea that one would have to take seriously.
We were left off at the Signal Mountain Lodge and took this as our cue that we should dine there so this vodka and grapefruit
as we came across our first running water
and Ben arrived for some more victory pictures
but for a few more wildflower pictures
As a result of the long hike, Ben got a drink and ice cream
and made our way down from these spectacular views
Along the way,w e got behind this car of many bumper stickers
and posed with the sign
and then Suzanne left the car
Suzanne came
after which Ben posed with the continental divide sign. As a result of all of this, we not only understand how water flows but we ourselves could be water flowing from this spot.
Next we went to the visitors center
Next was the BlueBell pool
which would preserve sights like this was important
as Ben uncovered his chicken
though we kept taking more pictures
and then we came across bison trying to keep cool by rolling in the sand
ON the drive to Old Faithful, we passed this coyote in a field
that defined Old Faithful
and spasm once quiet
and then we came upon these motions first of spasm
as we first stopped at Emerald Spring
and couldn't remember if an EAT sign means that one should go in or go elsewhere.
Once inside, we admired the menu
to the Liberty Cap which is 39 feet high
but not the thermal feature
as Ben reached out
Dr Len pondered his meal
we walked along the canal
Back at home, Jeff and OtherJane arrived for dinner but it took a few shots
and many parts of the outside in place
and the many guide signs
including this one about not parking
and then we were sorry to discover that the Bank of Princeton was closed; so no pennies.
and in the sky
and Suzanne posed with Hillary
before Sarah
as we made our way to 24th Street
while admiring kisses
as he moved on to his second table.
while Sarah opened the chocolates
and hang gliders were in the background over the sea
before we recorded more of the architecture
so that I could go to New York and meet Sarah for dinner at the Carnegie Deli where this was her sandwich,
many specials involving hot dogs
We next made our way to the hoagies, burgers and fries window where things were less organized though more so than at the pizza window
as Suzanne spoke with Andy to make further arrangements
and then saw the 457 foot mark (as long as it gets)
Mama Lolly's where we would return for lunch,
before we proceeded to RastaPasta
and made our way to this beach at Coco's Resort (adjacent to Ffryes Point)
to record some concessions on the beach
to Harmony House
and so we enjoyed sand
but we still looked down at the road going forward towards New Jersey
as Ben
and the sign welcoming us to Pennsylvania
where the road was closed
before they began to color
as we made our way to the bathroom fixtures shop across the way
as the assembled ate away
as Ben
we headed off to the hotel
and then DrLen, Suzanne and Judy posed
and then went in for water
and the Lysikrates Choregic Monument in fact
before recording the only Greek vocabulary we would need (or maybe the only Greek vocabulary we would know!).
and began the walk
as we made our way down
while this sign sent us in the right direction
and so we climbed the very slippery rocks
as we made our way to the museum of the region
along the way with the waters seeming rougher
and take the obligatory phone booth picture
and take another obligatory phone booth picture
we made our way through Viki
including an upside down caution sign (never a good sign)
and the local donkey
and we then passed the church
and explored the beach
and getting some documented photos of the healing gardens pertaining to willows.
at the Cafe Gratitude
and Jane and Suzanne settled onto the BART car
though the flowers kept us very impressed
Our visit began with a remarkable tour of their orchards, gardens and fruit trees
as we passed Chinese signs for the YMCA
and the Bank of America
before we passed the store selling geodes
and then recorded some of the flowers of Union Square Park
as we passed the old trolley
before we found Jane at the Sideways Door ?
which this man sold his poetry on the streets
before heading out to the herb garden
and filling our car's tank for the journey home.
as Suzanne rested from our walk (though we had to walk back)
and get comfortable at the beach
Ben read as a man of many hats
as Suzanne, Ben and Jane waited for our table
after which, we posed with the Justs
to get a vanilla donut
and bemoan the dispersion of Small World coffee (support your local everything) to the wider world.
but then his curry
and the impressive grafitti across the way.
and a deli selling Italian comestibles.
before going into the cheese store of amazing aroma and broad choices.
and so on we went past this lovely sculpture
walking down the street
though we did enjoy the tour bus
to Notre Dame
the cigar store Indian
I was blessed with this lucky cup
located the moon in the sky
as we turned and walked past the barrel cactus
and saw her house from below
moving on to the reconstruction of the houses damaged in the hurricane of 1995
to note that Honeymoon Beach was fairly deserted
that protected this tower of visibility
before we could head on
and the interesting clam rock were.
where we observed the Justs exiting from their ferry.
as I caught the tattoo on the back of one of the pirates
as people assembled
and then the men gathered to walk back north and find the women who were lost in a flea market.
at another mall as well
and welcomed people
as Suzanne led the way
Once in Pittsburgh, Andy came out to greet us
before we came to the Colfax School
and then on to 3446 Beechwood Boulevard, where my grandparents, Max and Ida Dobkin, lived
and Goo's
But we went on and headed into a bar where the darkness lifted
Our next stop was the cemetery. We first met Maxine and Lance there
When night came, we headed back to watch some fireworks
But the indentations
and we saw a spring off to the side
before we went inside
but we pressed on and came to this place where my tire marks give a sense of the challenge of reversing back down the hill after it was clear we could go no further.
as we drove on, the cliffs
before we found our way to Helgafell where legend has it that if you climb the hill in silence and never look back and then look east and make 3 wishes (all for good) then your wishes come true. But you only get to do this once so there was pressure to get it right.
and as we marched on and obeyed the guidance to not throw coins
and went in to see the continental drift over the past 1000 years identified by sign
and by distance.
before dressing and preparing to go present my talk.
and once in Iceland, I recorded a picture of my favorite yogurt to summarize the journey.
and Larry and Janet a chance to show off Connor
before we reached Buena Vista and this wonderful taxidermy store
this warm message at the barber shop
Driving on through Wolf Creek Pass where we stopped to record remarkable scenery
Walking along the waterfront we saw wonderful views
so that Ben and Suzanne could walk
but this didn't stop Dr Len
and experimented with the fast action setting on my camera where I could take this still
we were ready for an excursion to Clearwater Beach
and with a final visit to the remains of the carcass which might have been eaten
denoting this tree
and after exploring the colleges
Back in La Habra, we had the traditional dinner at El Cholo where Ben and Larry
and got off the ship
and the drinks to appear even though they had used up the last bananas of the day on the party ahead of us
discretely on this fence
as we made our way to 3rd Avenue and almost went to the Barking Dog Luncheonetteuntil we saw the parade of carriages followed by the waitress serving biscuits to visiting dogs
in front of the Alfred E Smith school
and then Ben posed
and then some looks towards New Jersey
after which I met this student touring Princeton who needed his picture taken.
Once there, the seating for the graduates was in place
At Sol Y Sombra, we made olives
at our local Independence Day related corner
before seeing these remarkable plants
as we looked out at a few early morning surfers
before we got to the 29th street sign which reiterated the rules
and the lifeguard camp.
before passing a summer camp
and as their battery was dead, there was time for more flower photos
Luckily for us, Elizabeth appeared at this point and insisted that we let her escort us to where we were trying to go.
and we admired the caldera and the sea below
along with the walled column which signaled the turning point
as this sign notes.
and then wandered around catching scenes of rooms
and noticed what it was that made this a door fit for an emperor
before we passed a few pillars
as Suzanne slept
until we got into a courtyard
that led us under a dome like this
and passed the restaurant where we should have eaten
and the visitor's attention
before we found our way up hill through crowds
before checking into our room at the Kismet
as we ordered our drinks
which amused Suzanne
as we explored
as the path was set
put us back in the car for further exploration
After the busy day, we were back to the airport where our flight was an hour late but dinner was still served in a great rush and we were eventually back in Istanbul at a different hotel.
and noting our neighbors who had tried their pipe
before we made our way down the street to dessert
and Charles Barkley
and this one from the Georgia state championship
45293
and this tank (clearly to protect the halls from those who would seek to do them harm)
through the door
my pictures were limited to a picture of Ben with guitars
some bobble head dolls
a memory of Tug McGraw
uniforms
by the spot in the river where the water was flowing
and a house
even as I recorded the flower arrangements
Jeff appeared and took us to his office where we saw his rooster
at the Thai restaurant
and the fare rules
and the least of the beat street signs.
we headed down the road to Perkaise and this bakery
and then on to Blue Beach where we saw this hut for shelter
and explored secret beach which attracted Suzanne
A the banana dish
as we made our way to the natural foods store
before we made our first visit to the checkout table where Chris dished out some arugula
amused Suzanne
and the Mr Sushi chain which seems to grace only 3 cities.
as we entered Al's bar and it's decadent zone
and then observed the street scene
before we got back into the car
and then made our way out for a walk around the village where we came up this performed in the Washington Square fountain
and the entry door
Next, Katie Camille appeared after an endless journey back from Burkina Fasa
Sadly the computer chose this minute to collapse
and then through Edison
and then they brought us cookies on the house
as we watched the parade come forward
as Suzanne and Jane studied the menu
though we did drive back to notice that the kites actually were attached to sailing devices for people.
though they served Scrimshaw in place of Iron City
and headed home where I saw Joel
and in before we got to our hotel in Athens and were sent off for a short walk while waiting for our room.
and then stopped
48188
and this poorly executed grafitti
and then the changing of the guard
while the police shields were on display though I chose (under wise counsel from Suzanne) to not take pictures of the cadre of police getting off their bus and preparing to grab shields.
and from our hotel
The kouros was absolutely amazing as we discovered from the side
set us on our way back to the Hotel Akrotiri
with a clearer one in Polish though the agent would tell us there was a delay but wouldn't tell us why or when
We greeted Mitch, Kathleen and Liam
and we then made our way through the cemetery
but first I noted this street scene which was the location of the resistance
defining the ghetto wall which had been made to look like tombstones to signify tot he Jews that this was their end.
We were also shown windows that were bricked over as they were on buildings that were part of the ghetto and so could not have views to the outside
and so we made our way to Oskar Schindler's factory
as we observed the trolley car
we read about the Jews being displaced
we then made our way past portraits of some of the notables
and missed
I changed my battery
as the grounds were enormous
but not as amusing as this bike's owner who had left it in bubble blowing mode
We thought that leaving Krakow would be easy but the taxi driver left us off at the international terminal and we were flying to Warsaw and so we had to walk 10 minutes to get to the right terminal
before seeing the first of many Hungarian heroes
as we then passed the famous (and according to tour books, over priced and over rated) pastry shop.
On the way to the Serbian church, we met these recycling bins with a fourth bin I hadn't seen before
and then coincidentally we rode am elevator from Schundler to the display.
and looked back at parliament
even as the tour guide
and headed back to the Central pastry shop where things looked good
as did the road going ahead
We were a little confused and so when Heores Square appeared in the distance, we didn't realize we were there and thought that this was the location of the lesser heroes
to the room where the hot pools were
and then we were at the restaurant which had multiple seating areas
as Gregory recorded the event
Larry
also noting the M&M's that were specially made for the event
and we made our way past the restaurant not chosen
and these products
Next, we headed off into Fairmount Park
and after a false try
though the driftwood would undoubtedly be better.
Returning to our journey, we went past the place where the road had collapsed
and recorded the table number since we thought we had been at this table before but hadn't recorded the number last time.
I was then able to expand my plate to this
and so we did before bidding farewell to Jeff.
and the rules for greenness
before reaching home
and then the private house
but it was closed and so we marched on past The Club
and a welcome/farewell sign
as we marched on
so that we could head to the public beach which we rejected
and we walked past Hector's where we decided not to eat
and then noting precisely how I was supposed to wash my hands.
and the waves
before heading down the boardwalk
before the butter and jelly arrived
past this very interesting sign
and the mother's day celebration at a bar we didn't go to
Walking down the coast led to structures like this along the water
and so I made my way past the Karen Blixen Museum
as we made our way
At the church attended by the queen, we met Moses
and the rooftops of the old section of the city
before we had our dinner with Jhumpa and Alberto.
and the menus
and recorded the map of Eluethera
not to mention this piece of something that had washed ashore
the kitchen where work was being done
that explained the situation
cheered for the cougars
and once again noted the positive time zone
and an obligatory fallen phone booths photo
But, we were happy that our flight was ready to go
We were still at the castle
Back to the gardens, we continued
and various garden views of bridges
and continued our path through the building
and then it was back to fish
and rice fields
while Suzanne read the bar menu
when the train approached in the opposite direction
and then we were back into the bamboo in more dense fashion
before I recorded this sign as a marker for where we had to turn on our return
with this arrow pointing the way
Next, we went up the path
and then saw the Buddha
and the visiting hours
and then a Japanese Circle K
and these were the neighboring buildings
rising from this plaza
which amused Suzanne
as we crossed the outer moat that defined the city at one time
which are clearer here
We walked down his street and Suzanne and I posed
as we continued down the crowded street
and the local Gold's Gym
before running into Peter and Seva with August at the playground
and then made our way to 3375 Parkview Avenue, my first home
and the vegetarian restaurant
with another head carrier
and then made our way into the environment (which meant walking down 300 steps)
and this remarkable facade
and this sculpture
that described what we would see when we went to stare at the elephants seals taking quite a few photos
Driving further south on the 101, we were happy to see Santa Claus Lane, it being Xmas eve
54280
before finding this marker that gave the correct way to Happy Bay
before we went in for our groceries.
and the crepe stand
So we headed down the street past the church
and settled in
and the view out to the beach as we waited for the rains to stop
I took an obligatory phone booth photo
and then get our food in full force
54689
Our next stop was the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg where Fran's friend gave us a wonderful tour
and we headed off to Central Park where we met Big Bird and Cookie Monster who asked for the time
before we arrived at the restaurant where we were meeting Suzanne and Michael
and then tried on this hat in the gift shop
before we passed by the Jane Laundromat
along with the pretty flowers.
and we then stopped off to visit Jane.
before the group came together
