Pictures of 10.31.02 -- Trick or Treat!!

It was Halloween, a day for many celebrations and so Jane put on her ears ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1874 and we went to breakfast ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1875 at Small World ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1876 where they seemed to want tricks since they were not offering treats.
Back at home, Benjamin was doing the M&M (as opposed to Eminem) thing ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1877 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1878 then with hat ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1879 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1880 and gloves ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1881 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1882 even pausing ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1883 for one last glimpse of television before we headed to the bus stop where Chip and Doris where in costume (NOT!) ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1884 and the others began to assemble ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1885 as Ben and the football player and the princess ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1886 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1887 played their pet dog game.
Carol had brought books, so Chip posed with his ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1888 and Ben posed with his ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1889 as mother and son ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1890 discussed their current reading projects.
Next, it was off to school for the parade with Emily Klockenbrink ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1891 passing us in red as Ms. Frenchu ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1892 came in her usual costume and the grim reaper ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1893 appeared followed by not one, but 2 Statues of Liberty ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1894 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1895 (or is it, Statue of Liberty's?). The other M&M (store bought) ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1896 passed as I paused to look at one of the cafeteria ladies ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1897 who had done a nice job on her hair as I took a dark picture ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1898 and then a picture of the cafeteria stools ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1899 to give a profound view. Ben's teacher followed (as spaghetti and meatballs) ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1900 accompanied by the two girls who sit next to him (Emma and Meghan). Then Benjamin appeared ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1901 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1902 much to the enjoyment of the other cafeteria lady ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1903 who had quite the costume. Another status of liberty went by ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1904 followed by some people from the bus stop ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1905 as Sponge Bob appeared ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1906 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1907 at too great a distance for the flash to do a good job. We saw Dr. Ginsburg ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1908 before heading off.
That night, it was time for trick or treat'ing in earnest. Jane and Lucy were ready ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1909 even when Rosie joined them ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1910 but Kaylen was otherwise occupied. Benjamin worked on the demographics of his candy ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1911 as Jane posed ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1912 for more head shots and with her friends ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1913 though Kaylen still wasn't back. Meanwhile, Ben's costume sat in the corner ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1914 and the candy suffered ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1915 from a lack of trick or treaters.
The flowers ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1916 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1917 ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1918 balloons ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1919 and note ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1920 made us glad that Suzanne's chemo was over. The nurses had given her these wonderful flowers ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1921 that meant a lot. Kaylen reappeared ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1922 at last as Benjamin's candy counting project ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1923 was completed.
This seemingly meaningless picture ../../../Sabbat/10.31.02Halloween//IMG_1924 is actually quite significant as you will observe in the next episode.
