in front of it so that we could eat at Marra's.

Afterwards, we stopped in the facilities
to work off the diet cokes we'd had in preparation for our trip to Italiano's
where they serve water ice and invented the gelati
I had the out of towners version
while DrLen's was more traditional
Next we went to visit Joel
and Diane
who took these pictures of her garden
and we headed off to South Philly where they put
McDonald's
in front of painted murals on walls. We stopped at this park
because it was opposite the original Levis building
while this gentleman obliged for the obligatory phone booth picture
at the plaque
for W. E. B. DuBois. He kept talking
even as I took the piercing pictures
and pondered getting one as DrLen met his former helper
whose name I forgot.
On we went towards the tattoo parlor
and met the chef people.
and then the police
who didn't seem to mind me taking their picture but DrLen ducked in here

Then we met an old friend
Again the street scene was very colorful

food establishment and a great cigar sign

and seltzer bottles
at gargoyles
The sparkplug
