And then, on Xmas morning,
Jane had to knit
But Benjamin was there
by the tv to sit

Lily and Sarah spent their time pondering the hard questions as they merged into one still unable to answer the philosophical question of whether they prepared suicide bombers to serial killers.

Later, in the kitchen, Jane made her cake as Sarah mixed pieces of hers with lots of cream cheese as the kitchen showed signs of use and the beaters kept Jane busy as Suzanne and Ben played the globe game.

Sarah had an orange as Suzanne read the rules and the game went on with the spatula stirring and the toasted nuts being preserved from the toasting so that the cake (not this one) or this one could be properly topped. The pot was ready as Suzanne stirred away and Sarah did some cleaning before we could cook and she chatted to Uncle Larry about the other cakes before Ben announced that we had to drive off to get parking so we could head to the theater and see Cheaper by the Dozen . Afterwards, there was the wait in the refreshment line so we could have nachos which photographed best without flash as Jane, Michelle Soffen and her friend did their cheaper by the trio pose before we headed off. Suzanne took the order and then led the way while we listened to the HAWK as they played their music library.

Once at Sunny Garden, Suzanne and Jane and then Ben got the food so that we could come home to some kitchen mess and more cooking to be done as we progressed with more ingredients until the batter looked like this and the final cookies gave way to chopped nuts as we made the ultimate wine sculpture assembled some balls added sauce

and let Andy lead them through the cookie phase until these resulted.

At this point, the Jans arrived for dinner bearing this gift for Ben and this gift for me, though Suzanne seemed to pose better with it. The gift certificate for Ben and this package which when slowly opened with paper removed yielded one then two then three of the characters from Sponge Bob Square Pants which led to more activity in the kitchen including some dish washing as we prepared for dinner.

The food was out and Ben chose this even as the chocolate cake was iced and the bowl licked as a prelude to my soup which photographed better the second time as my rice called out for bean curd making a combo I could take to the clean plate club and wash down with a glass of water to the amusement of the assembled as Sarah did her emerging from the bottle trick and Suzanne Jan and Jan were glad to see Sarah fully emerged as Noah looked on at Sarah an I made many tries

to get a picture of Suzanne with her eyes opened. Jane was knitting and found some respect for the camera as the assembled got ready for the desserts with the bushe de'Noel wanting less light to get the right picture as another dessert and another emerged to be served as yet another and another and another emerged to the table so that the wide view suggested we'd all be wider when the holidays were over. This dessert went well with the wine nicely topped by the snowglobes Ed Lazowska had sent.

There the desserts sat

as we watched and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut until it was time for phone calls and relaxing untilt he candles were lit

and the gifts displayed before it was time to adjourn to watch The Sting with at least partial attention until the Kramers arrived and presented their evaluations of the desserts to Sarah as Suzanne watched Sarah evaluate the feedback before Jane encouraged Peter to do the Harry Potter thing as Suzanne knitted Ben relaxed and the movie ended as did another Christmas.
