It was the last (week) day of break, a beautiful day and so a good time for a cruise in the country (or city as the case may be) and so Dr Len (aka Mr. Lennie) came to town and we hung the Ladies neon sign with the help of Sarah and then went to Dr Len's car where he showed off the mah jongg board he carries and the wonderful new tools he had just bought.

Next, we drove to Trenton in search of food. But first we saw this wonderful sign for Klotz Beverage Emporium and then we settled at Mekus, a soul food restaurant, in Trenton where Dr Len sat as I took this self portrait and this profile shot as Dr Len's cranberry juice cocktail and my water, my cheese grits, eggs and toast and Dr Len's meat and vegetables arrived and were eaten to certify membership in the clean plate club. To end the meal, I had a peach cobbler and then we drove off to see nature.

Along the canal, we saw the fall colors and then found a bench where Dr Len shared philosophical thoughts and I took self portraits and then we made our way back through the fall colors as darkness was beginning to fall

Back at home, we picked up Suzanne at the train and then Ben Suzanne and I (in this self portrait) were seated and Suzanne had a large glass of the cheap house wine as Jane and Sarah returned from parking the car and we began with salads for the girls and then BBQ chicken pizza for Ben kasha pasta for Jane pasta for Sarah shrimp for Suzanne (which may have been the cause of her bad indigestion that night) all served by Lou, our waiter as well as my pizza margherita before we made our way across the parking lot through the heavy machinery where I took group pictures of the kids before we called it a night.
