The next day, we prepared for the Race for the cure as we had done in 2005 2004 and and 2003 . Ed, Jeff and Sarah were ready as Jeff let out one of his laughs and then posed with Ben at which point Steven Just arrived and Jessie Yu came and posed with Sarah while the table was set and the pink M&M's were photographed with flash and without before Devon arrived and joined Jessie and Sarah for a photo and Juliana posed with Sarah as Jane and Ben got ready to go which we did after I took this self portrait.

Once there, we followed the parking guide and left the car to head across the field to the tents where we were given this water from the massive collection and some donut holes while the troups gathered at the Panera tent and the runners assembled after Steven and Jeff had run and while Lizzie was preparing and Adam and Tony celebrated (either being done with their run or being able to leave the cold and wind to find shelter) as we passed the porta-potties as Jane waited in line until we ran into Lianne and her kids and saw an amazing collection of pink bracelets for the taking

as the runners -- Philip, Steven, Lizzie and Jeff -- celebrated the end of the second race and their chance to go to a warmer place. Meanwhile, Jane was helping Ben put his number on his shirt as the sign flopped in the air losing names all the while and Ben's number was finally pinned at which point we found Sarah and Juliana and assembled the group -- Sarah, Juliana, Jessie, Devon and Ed -- for a photo and then another under the tent where Ed, Devon, Jessie, Sarah and Juliana were joined by Jane and Ben for this collection of pictures

before the Cohns, Sara Just and Seva arrived and joined the picture.

But now, the real race (ie the walk for the cure) was about to begin and Jane and Ben posed with Ben and Rick Strauss after which Claire Percarpio, Jane, Audrey and Cara posed as did Alan and Joel Straus and then a gathering of Alan, Claire, Jane, Audrey, Cara, Eddie, Joel and Ben as we made our way into the walk but not until I had replaced Claire in some of the photos. At the end of the walk, we ran into Ben, Eddie, Joel and the football

as we again made our way past the donut holes to the car up the hill and drove home with Jane showing the emotion as we got to the last light and took this artistic photo of the speedometer and the radio.

Once at home, Lauri Mulvey, Suzanne and Karen Fuchs were there as were Nancy and Brad, the new neighbors and the McCools as Ira and Paul finally left the dark for this picture as Rick and Carol posed followed by the Rider crowd who asked me to join them before I took this self portrait and then met the new neighbors who posed with the old neighbors

before I took these pictures of the girls on the couch

joined by Tony and this collection of photos of DrLen (aka Mr. Lennie) and Judy

at which point Sara Just brought out the remarkable quilt she had knitted for Jane

The day done, Ed and Sarah and Suzanne were showing the effects as they rested for the next Race for the Cure.
