Sunday morning we woke up and drove through limited traffic
to Leroy Street
where Suzanne entered Jane's building
and then her apartment
and we greeted a tired Jane
and a tired Ben
before we made our way to Market Table
and checked out the food
and drink menus.
The orange juice
made us appreciate how nicely the brown sugar
and salt were presented
and the cappucchino
did the same for the ketchup
as Ben's burger
Suzanne's eggs and bacon
my fallafel
and Jane's pancakes
were accompanied by buttermilk biscuits and bacon
with butter and jam to spread.
after making the clean plate club
I noted that I was supposed to make an entry in the guest book
and so provided this poem
as the bill was paid
this collection sign was recorded
and we made our way past the restaurant not chosen
to the bakery
with this interesting sign
and these products
before heading back to Jane's apartment briefly
and then going to the car which was parked in in front
and tight in back
and making our way out of the parking space and into traffic
on our way back home. Good luck and a wonderful life together, Lizzie and Stephen!!
