A day in the city
We parked the car and bought a ticket for the parking space but did NOT photograph the person who sold us the train tickets. This poster appealed to Benjamin as Sarah talked on her cell phone which was to be a bit of a recurring theme.

On the ride north, I recorded Elizabeth while Benjamin recorded me, then Sarah, then me again. Next we missed and then only slightly connected on pictures of the people in the opposite seat -- he with the resume with his head shot on the other side and the growing candelabra rental business. All of this got us to the subway station to head south to Washington Square Park where Ben and Sarah watched the baseball game and we then studied the signs to Benjamin's amusement before walking further, taking this bad picture and then this picture for what will ultimately become yet another connection. We recorded McDonald's and the obligatory phone booth in Chinatown before having this wonderful Dim Sum,

though I can't remember the names of the dishes our new friend brought before taking this picture of us and sending us on our way. At the next obligatory phone booth photo, Sarah and then both of us obliged with phone photos. Next we went to Ferrara's where Sarah had this dish and Benjamin had this cone. Back on the train, this gentleman offered advice as well as a restaurant guide and we promised to send him his picture even though he had never heard of the Museum of Radio and Television to which we went next even though the whole place is trademarked and no photos can be taken inside.

After 2 hours of television, we were ready for a walk back to the train. Sarah stopped to buy Olive Butter from this person who then agreed to do a makeover. This is the before picture and the initial action as Benjamin watched and the work progressed to this intermediate result and the final eye touches that led to this after picture. Quite a difference.

On the final part of our path, we met a man who told us the world was ended and another who seemed to have a Christ complex before getting to our train where Benjamin could model his new hat in rapper mode.

This was a trip with a mission. We got 2 of them but the photographs

come far from representing reality. It's time for a visit to the optics people to understand how to get the lighting right, not an easy task with the geometry of the paperweights being what it is and all.
