Summer was nearly over and it was time to take a family trip to end with a bang. So, we rented a house at Long Beach Island and drove down. I made my way through the dunes ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0001 across the plains ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0002 until I could admire my feet ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0003 and watch the family coming back ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0004 as Ben showed me the shell he had gotten ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0005 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0006 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0007 and we had a display of the family's feet ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0008 to the amusement of these passersby, the orthodontist in Randolph and his wife, ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0009 who felt another family feet picture was in order ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0010 before taking these group pictures of our family ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0011 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0012 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0013 as we admired the beach signage ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0014 and then made our way back to the house where this sign warned us to not fall out the window ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0015 and this sign warned us not to cause a shower flood ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0016 all of which amused Ben as he enjoyed his daybed ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0017 and we set up the fans to ease the heat ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0018 before heading to the deck where we could observe the conversation next door ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0019 as I settled into vacation mode ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0020 while in the kitchen, cheese was being shredded ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0021 to make this mozzarella platter ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0022 as the refrigerator was filled ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0023 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0024 and the cheese platter grew ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0025 while Sarah ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0026 worked on the cheese and tomato plate ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0027 and Suzanne relaxed ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0028 as the Mulvey's appeared ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0029 which led the children (many of them, some not so young) to engage in corn husking ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0030 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0031 with the result being this nice plate of corn ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0032 as the children reassembled in the living room ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0033 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0034 for a game of Five Crowns ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0035 ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0036 until the steaks were ready ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0037 and the chicken was sliced ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0038 and this was the plate ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0039 that Johnny Mulvey assembled ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0040 and from this table ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0041 I made this plate for my dinner ../../../Sabbat/2005/08.20-09.02.05LongBeachIsland//IMG_0042
