Later that week, Jane, Ben and I took a long walk joined towards the end by Suzanne and I attempted to use up the remaining juice in my battery so that I would have a fresh battery for the next day's festivities. Ben was incognito
before we began and wished he was incognito when we reached Whitman College
with the dedication sign up
and many parts of the outside in place
as we looked down a corridor
saw the sundial
and recorded the massive trees that had been moved into place.
Next we went to the Icahn building where we recorded the structure that Frank Gehry had wrought
and next we went to see how quickly the armory was coming down
and made our way into the stadium to look across at Jadwin gym
and on to the climbing wall
and the corridors int eh stadium
before Jane posed for the obligatory phone booth picture
when we exited and made our way towards the new Lewis Library
and made our way through the Serra sculpture for these artistic photos
and then were on tot he Weaver Tigers
before we ran into Mark Killingsworth who was on his way to Shabbat services
which inspired Jane to do a serious tying job on Ben's shoes since he had abandoned the tight laces that had Dork for Life written all over them.
After we took this photo in front of a house, the child living there came out to drive us away
so we went to the bank
so I could take the safety deposit box
into this cubicle
before we marched on past Cosmo Bleu where Jane would be pedicured up later
and then down Nassau Street
until we met Peter Brown
as Ben, Jane and I
emerged from Panera
and this was the French toast bagel
onto which I spread my jam
making this sandwich which sustained me
until we met Suzanne who had come from the beauty parlor
and went with her to Hamilton Jewelers
where this chocolate told the whole story.
Our next stop was The Place to Bead where we saw Kaylen through the window
and after recording the rules
and the sign
Ben led the way
to lure Suzanne away from the store
so that Suzanne could read the review of the new Harry Potter book aloud in Hines Park
as I recorded Palmer Square on a quiet August Saturday
as the review progressed
before the bride passed by on her way from La Jolie
and the Review was completed (now we don't have to read the book).
as we admired Witherspoon street's sign
and the many guide signs
including this one about not parking
before we considered walking down the street
after Ben took a picture of his camera with mine (but avoided hysteresis)
and next we met up with the Soup Nazi who posed with Ben in backlight
and then Ben posed with the Soup Nazi in good light.
Our next stop was Jazams
where we purchased this puzzle
and then headed past the fountain
to the Pawtisserie
where this sign described their joint arrangement with the Bent Spoon which I didn't understand
and then we were sorry to discover that the Bank of Princeton was closed; so no pennies.
I did record the sign for Chambers at Nassau and Chambers both on the wall
and in the sky
and then took this self portrait in the obligatory phone booth
before the battery gave out and we could begin our journey home.
