It was our last full day and so we left San Francisco and drove down to Big Basin State park to visit the redwoods. We parked near this license plate for the collection
and also recorded our license plate for the collection.
This exhibit showed just how old the trees were
as we began the Sequoia trail and came to this bent over tree
and this forest scene
with leaves on the ground
and this half stump which made a perfect bench
though Suzanne chose to sit on the next one
where we took this selfie
before walking past this well located camp site
among the high trees
and the open trees that were along the path
as we took this blurred selfie
and noted the almost hollow tree
in the forest
before we came to the waterfall that was barely trickling
where I recorded Suzanne
before taking this selfie of us.
Coming up from the waterfall, we came across this explanation
of the holes in the rocks
as we climbed a steep hill to this tree
and made our way down the trail
to this see throw tree
as I practiced artistic photography (because the lens didn't totally open)
against a leaning tree
and a blurry scene
before we came to a stream that was almost totally dry from the drought.
Next we met Lois for dinner and began with these rolls
as the man kept pouring his water
while Suzanne made her point
to Lois
as we toasted one another
and I recorded the fountain
and the wine we ordered
to go with our shared salad
and the man kept pouring his water
as Suzanne and Lois discussed the sad state of education
as main courses arrived
and we were encouraged to try dessert.
