It was time to leave La Habra and so we headed north towards I-5 which would take us through the Central Valley to the Silicon Valley. Unfortunately we didn't notice the place where 5 and 99 split but fortunately we called Harris Ranch and so were guided back after only about tan hour of diversion. Once there, we admired the outdoor grill
and their sign
before entering
and admiring the display of raw meat
and then being seated and getting our menus
and noting what was special
and the specialty drinks that we couldn't have because we had miles to drive
but we did partake of the water
and this iced tea
made Suzanne happy
as I
admired the taxidermy
before the onion rings came
among with Suzanne's steak sandwich
and my mushroom sandwich, both quite good.
We drove on and stopped at Mamy's Fruit Stand
where we did not feed the horses despite this sign for the collection
with the horses in the background
but we did buy these figs
and cherries
to go with the almonds of various stripes from Harris Ranch
as Suzanne and Barbara
and Jacobo posed
before we went off to old El Paso where I had this margarita
and Suzanne had her wine
as dinner was served.
After dinner we walked along the shoreline where we could see the coastal range with a tame sunset
and as we marched on
we admired the clouds
before we came across this heron.
