Saturday morning, we parked at the station and observed the crowds in both directions as Suzanne and Ben pondered the journey ahead. Once in New York, we escaped the train and went up the steps to begin our walk north stopping for this obligatory phone booth picture and this obligatory phone booth picture before celebrating the WNBA all star game and watching the painter as the Ernst and Young building came into view before another obligatory phone booth construction picture which amused Suzanne and Benjamin as the Tkts booth came into view and got closer so that George M. Cohan could welcome us along with this gentleman from the Afghani restaurant. Benjamin studied the fan and then used it to cool his passion about the chocolate store up the road as the pigeons did injustice to George.

Times Square seemed to be the destination of the Nuts 4 Nuts man as this woman walked in front of the steel drummers who were entertaining us as Father Duffy oversaw things and the umbrella room aimed to nourish us as the line moved and we got closer to the chocolate store while this girl's shirt had one of my key phrases and this sign said it all about what we were spending as another obligatory phone booth picture wound us to the front of the line where Ben got very focused and so we could get our tickets, take a final obligatory phone booth picture and check out the theater as we headed to Joe Allen's the restaurant Steven Just had recommended. After studying the menu we went in but the darkness made Ben hard to see though the menu gave a map that made Suzanne happy with her choices as we took the condiments picture and checked back to see if Ben was brighter. The bread came along with Ben's burger Suzanne's chicken salad with and without flash and my taboulleh salad which shone brighter than the picture can tell. Ben brightened with his food and this collection sign was a classic in the phone booth sized men's room.

Now it was time to march back to the chocolate store and look in the windows before going in and scouting out the chocolates the kisses in different flavors, the Reese's

and the little Hershey's men before settling on our purchases facing the camera and heading off past the alien the Stardust diner and the Big Apple chess set to get ready for the time of our life which the play really was.

After the play, we found the Foot Locker and found our way across the street to replace these shoes in the right size with various choices that might work. But first we had to measure Ben's foot size before we could pick these shoes to Suzanne's amusement and continue on our journey.

Our next stop was Toys R Us where we were met with Yu-Gi-Oh before we found this birthday present for Andy and then explored and found dinosaurs and GI Joe in the darkened interior before another Yu-Gi-Oh a long look around farewell to CandyLand and goodbye to Sponge Bob set us on our way south. We looked at the subway and got it straight but decided that the sewing man and needle and button were the fashion we needed to get us to Pennsylvania Station.

Once there, we got drinks and noted that the snapple had a lid that said New York because we were in New York. My bagel Ben's turkey sandwich and Suzanne's soft serve were good but when we saw Krispy Kreme we knew we had to have the bag without the flash and get this kreme filled which made Benjamin very excited on the train ride home.

In all, another happy family day in the Big Apple.
