The next day was Tuesday and the banana
was still there. We went to see the zebra,
the ostrich,
the cats,
the dog,
and the ox
at this woman's taxidermy shop.
After Suzanne said good bye to the polar bear
and David to the horse
we went to see this man
who sold us these shirts.
By now, Suzanne
was desperate for this coffee
at this place
that made her instantly happy.
We unwrapped our package
and ate these pastries
from this place
before heading to lunch at the vegetarian place
where Suzanne had an aperitif
and I had white wine
The bread was good
Suzanne's salad was large
My vegetable dish was weird
and still we had another salad
and a quiche
to eat. This lady
sold us chocolate that wasn't very good and we took another Armani picture
in Bon Marche for Jane's collection.
After a rest, we headed out for our last dinner. We took the obligatory phone booth picture
and a picture of the elephant statue
before crossing this bridge
to get this great view of the Orsay.
These people
blocked my first picture of the arch
but we managed to capture the Ferris wheel
as the skies darkened
and we left the area.
We passed the Statue of Joan of Arc
and the metro stop at the Louvre
en route to the royal palace
where we got these 2 views
of this sculpture. The balls were nice
as were the scooter kids.
We saw this sculpture
and this one
had words when you got close.
After this sculpture
and the fountain
we headed on past the baby doll repair shop
to www.why.fr
where he
sold us wonderful things. We passed a church with flying
buttresses
and Les Halles
on the way to dinner. We also saw this beer hall
this other church
the Nord bank (that you Nordman)
and the statue of the Republic.
We went past this strange storefront
and then could finally see the restaurant.
And, then we were there.
There was a ham hanging from the ceiling
and the decor was country French
We had this wine
and this water
This was Suzanne's salad
and this was mine.
The place looked quite nice
My entree came as Mickey Mouse
Suzanne's was great
and I got copper kettles of good vegetables
They even brought us mustard from Dijon
The waiter was very nice.
Desert was this tart
with this cream
and my cheese
came with this butter
and the bread.
We had our coffee
and paid the bill.
They took a picture of the table
and we took a picture with the owner
We changed subway cars at Madeline
and were home for the last night.
