Next thing we knew it was the next day and we were at the Musee Orsay
looking at this sculpture
when Suzanne discovered Virgil
and I discovered the working man
and the 2 men chatting
After another sculpture
and a few paintings
we went upstairs where the views were remarkable
and they had Whistler's Mother
but we could hardly stay awake over lunch
and so we took one last picture
and the obligatory phone booth picture
and found our hotel bed
The bed was in a great room
with a bathroom
that was very beautiful
even if the shower didn't work.
We put down our banana
and after a nap, we walked off to Saint Germain
where there was a wedding in progress.
We admired the fountain
and the traffic
and then headed further to Notre Dame
and past the Hotel De Ville
to the subway
to the restaurant, Le Repaire de Cartouche.
Before going in, we took the obligatory phone booth picture
My vegetable plate was great.
Suzanne's seafood was even better
The wine was good
The menu
was full of good things
and Suzanne seemed amused
as I checked out the facilities
and we left the restaurant
by the other door and caught a subway in the rain
changing here
for the trip home.
