It was the 3rd of July and so time to get ready to go to the beach for a picnic. We watched the door
and waited for Suzanne to emerge so that we could go. We listened to the radio
and checked the gauges
before Melissa
and then Melissa and Suzanne
emerged.
The ride was uneventful and we knew to not jump off the bridge even without the sign
and soon we were there
taking the obligatory phone booth and beach tags sign pictures.
Their house, 3083,
was quite nice and within a short time we were eating cheese
and I had some beer
while Suzanne was finishing her water
when Lucy and Jane appeared
and took a picture of the fan
for Benjamin. The kids went to the arcade and came back wit the Coca Cola polar bear
the tiger
and other assorted toys. They also had caps
to fire to celebrate our flag
and the neighbor
who saluted us. All of this made Suzanne
happy even as Michael
twisted in his chair and Caroline
appeared incognito. We decorated the food
had more beer
and sent Lucy
down below to catch the parachute.
Next it was to fire the snaps
which Jane and Lucy did
to Suzanne's amazement.
The food smelled too good to even consider the Fishin Pier.
Next we went to the beach
to see the gulls
and watch them fly
beyond Lucy and Jane
as Suzanne
watched. We took a few artistic gull shots.
We shot a pier picture
and then it was time to play life guard
and pretend that we didn't see the crazy lady
with her metal detector. Ben climbed the life guard chair
and then we went back to see Michael and Caroline cook a wonderful meal.
