Next day, we began with breakfast at the hotel
as Marilyn from El Paso joined us
and Suzanne and Richard
and Hannah watched
as I took this picture of Dick in too much darkness
as Sally
and Robert arrived
and Robert joined Suzanne
until she took her phone call (politely) away from the others.
Next we decided to go for a walk past the synagogue where the ceremony would take place
and Robert took a picture
that undoubtedly looked like this
as we marched on and on the way back, I recorded the frisbee player sculptures
as the hotel came into view
and then the fishermen
before we met Ben and Jerry in the lobby of the hotel
and as Hannah and Vickie appeared
we headed off to lunch at the Deli Tech
where pickles were served
as Vickie, Hannah and Sally sat in front of the mural
with Michael and Robert
as Richard and Jerry gave their order
and pictures were taken of Suzanne
me
Richard
Richard and Vickie
and Sally and Ben
until the bloody Marys
Sally's salad
my meal
Robert's soup
and Suzanne's lunch arrived
and the waitress took this pictures of (almost) all of us.
After a short break, we dressed for the wedding but attempts to record ourselves didn't seem to work
so we had Robert
take this photo of the two of us
as Sally
and the Seigel's arrived
and we assembled
so that someone from the hotel could take these pictures of all of us before we departed.
When we arrived, this gentleman was nice enough to explain the process to us
and so we (Robert, Richard and I) joined the men who were negotiating with the groom the marriage contract
after which they escorted the groom to be sure that he was getting the right bride
and sang and danced as they went

finally reaching the room where the bride and women folk were so that we could cheer them on
|
as Sally and Suzanne watched.
Next we were seated for the ceremony
|
as the photographer assumed his perch
all waited
as Ben and Rachel walked in
followed by the groom
and then as the crowd watched the bride came in
and people settled
as the ceremony began
and at its conclusion there was a great deal of fanfare to escort the bride and groom off
before we found Richard
and watched the photographer
take this picture of Hannah
as foods were served
|
until we headed outside
and watched this child
as the families assembled for photos beginning with the groom's family
as Rachel and Ben emerged
and Rachel posed with Robert
and then Ben, Robert and Rachel posed
|
as Anne
and Jerry emerged
as a photograph of the groom's extended family was happening
|
as Suzanne and Anne visited
while photos of the bride and groom and his parents and grandparents were taken
followed by pictures of the bride, groom and their parents
as Richard and Suzanne posed
and then shot a picture of me and Suzanne
Meanwhile pictures with the groom's parents were winding down
as the bride's family began to assemble
for the next collection of photos
|
which got Robert busy trying to get his picture
and as Anne's family assembled
the photographer
took a few of these pictures
before it was our turn, though no pictures were taken with my camera. Meanwhile, we recorded this father and his 2 children
The final pictures were assembled
and taken
and we decided to capture some photos of the chupah
before getting these pictures of Anne and Jerry
and settling at our table where the salad course had been served.
AT Table 7 were Hannah and Sally
Richard and Vickie
but the real action was on the dance floor where hopefully these photos are self explanatory because I'm not sure that I can do the event justice with words.
|
even as the groom was lifting on the shoulders of another
|
the dancing continued
|
and seats were brought so that dances could be offered to the groom and (at different times) his father, grandfather and other close relatives
but soon he was lifted again
as Suzanne re-entered the room
and the parents assembled for a series of toasts
|
which captivated the audience old and young including flower girl Sierra here
as the toasts continued
to the serving of the main course for meat eaters
and vegetarians
followed by Rachel's very touching toast
which cheered the bride and groom
and as she continued
they continued to appreciate her words
and then the dancing continued
with warm feelings to the groom
from his father
and new father-in-law
and then
there were seats for the bride and groom
as their friends offered dances to them
|
which continued
both for those sitting
and those dancing
until after a few more pictures
I realized I should be shooting movies to capture motion and sound

and after a bit more dancing
|
I recorded the dance between the bride and her father
../../../Sabbat/2009/06.20-29.09ColoradoTrip/06.27-29.09LeahAngermanWedding//
and then watched as the bride was carried into the male room
|
and bid adieu to the photographers.
