Saturday morning, June 18, we repeated tradition and headed to the pancake house which still looked the same as last time . DanSyl read the menu as I got ready to order from Kathleen (aged 14) and her sister (almost 21) who brought me decaf and syrups as Dansyl were waiting for my banana pancakes and their shared omelette and pecan pancakes before we headed past the cockteleria and back to the car for further journeys. We went to the beach at the cove in La Jolla and parked the car before meeting these people who gave me a pamphlet and this booth where this gentleman wished to sell us shirts. We walked along the beach to where a wedding party was posing and then left Sylvia on a bench as we walked on and admired this gentleman who seemed to be having a perfect beach day as the life guards had moved on and the info booth told us to be careful of the power of the surf even as we returned to Sylvia on her cell phone and I took this self portrait after which Dan took a picture of mother and son before we met this lady who sold us environmentally correct T shirts. After a rest and a movie, we went to Papachino's where after a few missed pictures I finally got it right just in time for the bread which was a prelude to our pizza and Dan's pasta all of which made me look better as we got ready to leave the restaurant to see the balloons mixed with palm trees and about to descend as day was done.
