It was Father's Day, 2008 and so we celebrated with a walk along the canal at Washington's Crossing (on the New Jersey side, of course) where we began by observing the flood information
and then we marched on to Titusville where we saw the Titusville Academy
and the place where the Scudder's are buried (though we don't know if they are the Scudders from Scudders Falls)
and then we were ready to enter the Historic District of Titusville
where these were the details
and this was Josiah Hart's house
with his gas pump
and then walked down to the river were this was the scene across the river.
We came back along the canal which began with this sign where Suzanne and Judy
and then DrLen, Suzanne and Judy posed
and as we walked we saw ducks
before we came across the Flower Country Store
and then more ducks
before we saw the potential place to get water which was the wrong place
and then It's Nuts in the distance
which we reached
and admired their sign
and then went in for water
but most of us were sent outside for ice cream
where Ben and Suzanne posed
before Ben's ice cream arrived
which made the man behind me in line happy.
Next we made our way to Trenton where we wanted Tomato Pies from DeLorenzo's
even though in the modern age they call them pizza.
Suzanne and Judy
were enlightened
and then Ben and I posed
as did Ben
while we waited for the tomato pie/pizzas to come.
