Next I went to San Francisco and Fort Funston where this was the scene as we brought along the dogs who began with a drink before we saw our first dog walkers with many as we made our way down the hillside to the beach where the dogs could run free with this great view and against this backdrop with even the man made structures suitably decorated

though none was competitive with this sea rope complete with bubbles in its elegant layout as Jacobo began preparations to launch the ball for the dogs to chase even as the beach patrol arrived and we eyed the path we would have to take back to the car which made the sand all the more appealing even as the dog walkers appeared with many under their control

but eventually we began our trek stopping for the occasional photo (and breath catching) before we entered the hang gliding landing zone as Jacobo made his way up the hill and past the markers though despite the sign, no one was landing at the moment but I did record these signs and some history before I found the structures designed to repel both the Japanese and the Russians from our shores. Seems to have worked both times. and some remarkable flowers but still the hang gliding signs persisted and so we headed down the coast to Pacifica where there were paragliders and rocks, never a good combination but the paragliders flew as the dogs explored and Jacobo and then Barbara held them back before this family photo was taken even as the flights continued. Next we made our way to the ugly pier with lots of warning and then on to Barbara's fishtrap in Princeton by the sea where this was the beer I drank and while in Half Moon Bay, I posed with the locals since Sarah wasn't there that day and then after recording this sign for the collection, we called it a day. That evening, I joined Sarah and Ed for a dinner that included this wonderfully presented dish.
