On Thursday, May 27, I took a picture of Mark Hansen of the English department who is staying and then headed off to Ben's school in the evening. This boy greeted us as I took a self portrait Jane appeared distracted and Alan wondered what the sleepover would be like. Ben's class filed in and Suzanne settled in behind us as the kids sat down and the drama teacher set the context. The children settled as the first story was read and then a character emerged to tell his tale. Next, Ben emerged and chased Joel before they came together and Ben watched Joel catch some sleep before they headed off and the next story could be told. There followed another story before Ben put on the Russian hat for his tale of Sam Levin who made the trip from Russia's cold weather. The story unfolded and Sam (Ben) was still in his hat with Bobby as the class gathered and a picture was missed for further gathering before they dispersed and the story continued complete with finger props to end the tale. After a few more stories

we saluted the class and Joel and Ben made their way while Brian Blount posed and then Ben posed for a number of hat pictures before I said hello to Dr. Ginsburg and Ben showed us his Russia diorama complete with map colored in. On the way to the car, we saw this frog and then this one before we followed Suzanne home with Ben incognito in the back seat.
