We started with the Temple of Philae. This temple is most interesting because it was moved from Philae Island to a new location after the construction of the first Aswan dam had submerged the island (and so the temple) for at least half of each year. When you see the size of the temple, it's remarkable that it could have been moved. To get to it, we took a motorboat to the island it is on.
