Easter being what it is, the magnolias were in better spirit for the holiday

and served as a prelude for my journey to Princeton Junction to collect Jane and bring her back where the peeps were the first sign that we were celebrating. Next, Katie Camille appeared after an endless journey back from Burkina Fasa with much luggage in tow and the food preparations began with pineapple and a casserole strawberries and a wonderful box on Belgian chocolates brought from the source by Katie-Camille as the pineapple were installed and the table was prepared for the feast as onions and vegetables were assembled and the table was set set for the diners but the peeps still stood guard as the table now waited for the salad plates and asparagus and strawberries were a sign that tomatoes could be added to the salad plates (fish still to come, no doubt). Sadly the computer chose this minute to collapse but the peeps got company and so did we as Jeff arrived with his brother, his nephew and Wellington. The flowers they brought made Suzanne feel good as Wellington posed with Jane and the fish was served while the assembled visited in the living room before we adjourned to the dining room where the table was set

and was just waiting for the people

and with food and drink the assembled seemed to continue to eat

until the cake and strawberries made this display on my plate and the chocolate revved me up for an artistic view of the table and those who came to feast on Easter.
