The next day we woke up still waiting for the locks and with these salespeople by our boat As I'm sure you know, this last picture is of Akaman Akd el Naky
who works at
A Mape Mepoaplk of Egypt
Azbut el Hazan St. 15
Kana Esna, EGYPT. When you talk to him, identify yourself as a friend of Ali Baba. You'll get a good price.

We also took a few more pictures of the crew with our family and of ourselves in various incarnations including Suzanne reading Jane doing Blair Witch imitations in self portraits David staring, then sneezing, then recovering

Sarah hanging out Benjamin hanging out and Benjamin and Jane eating and posing for sunset pictures

We had been here already for 24 hours looking at the entrance to the locks when a boat came out and we got ready to go in so that we could stop looking at our shadows We went in and looked back at the boats we had waited with and looked forward to the area we'd cross This boat came with us getting closer and closer Then they raised the water level and on we went

As is always the case, the scene you see to the left

and to the right

and behind the boat is so good that you have to take that extra picture. Unfortunately, no camera can capture the whole ambiance of the ride, the scenery, the sense of total relaxation, ... The best we can do is to present many many views of the sunset in progress
