Next, we gave the camera to Suzanne for a montage of pictures showing the view of Israel from the heights of the Golan ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170027 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170028 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170029 She also captured Jane and Benjamin as they gathered soil that might one day be part of Syria again ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170030 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170031 and David as he showed the effects of too much beer and too little exercise ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170032

A soldier standing nearby ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170033 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170034 gave us some background on the bunker we were standing near. Suzanne and Benjamin decided to climb in and avoid any bombs that might drop ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170035 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170036 We ended our visit by buying Sarah her birthday present ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170022 from this very kind gentleman ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170037 who moved her from the Sinai when it was given back to Egypt and may soon have to move from the Golan once it is given back to Syria.

Next we went to the town of Qatrzin (capital of the Golan) which is famous for providing the water ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170039 ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170040 and wine of Israel ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170038 Unfortunately they haven't yet learned to turn one into the other.

Our final stop of the day was along the Jordan River ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170041 at Beth-Saida where the women decided to do the chilly and wide thing ../../../Sabbat/Pics/04.17.00TheGolan//P4170042
