TravelPhiladelphia FriendsDavidson On Sunday, we drove to Philadelphia to the Wyndham ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0262 to drop Suzanne ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0263 off for her conference while the rest of us drove to Bainbridge Street ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0264 to park and then walk to the PhilaDeli Restaurant ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0265 which a great sign ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0266 but first we paid homage to Isaiah Zagar's work ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0267 on the wall. His work is all over the neighborhood.

Once inside, this was the only sign ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0268 I saw in the bathroom. Dr Len met us there ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0269 and Ben took notice ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0270 as Judy ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0271 and Jane ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0272 posed and then Jane took this picture ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0273 of mine while the toast ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0274 came and then Ben's turkey burger ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0275 Jane's burger platter ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0276 and my salad ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0277 which looked better without flash ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0278 as did the Russian dressing ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0279 in the no flash ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0280 version. The waitress wouldn't let us take a picture of her face but she did let us take this picture of the back of her shirt ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0281

After lunch, we saw a playground in the distance ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0282 and after paying homage to Levis'. ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0283 ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0284 entered the playground ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0285 because it has a hoop ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0286 which caused Benjamin ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0287 to move out of the frame to get the ball from Dr Len ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0288 but he passed to Jane ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0289 who studied the hoop ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0290 before making her shot ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0291

Basketball done, we headed down the street recording the pierced tongues ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0292 puppets ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0293 the cigar ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0294 and Moe Fine ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0295 before going to Hats in the Belfry ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0296 where this woman ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0297 sold Ben a hat. But before we could try the hat, Dr Len appeared with a water ice ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0298 from Rita's ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0299 so we checked out the menu ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0300 and Benjamin waited ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0301 while they ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0302 prepared his chocolate ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0303 and Jane's tropical punch ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0304 water ices.

Then it was time to look at the hat ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0305 so Dr Len tried it on ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0306 and I did ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0307 while Jane and Benjamin ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0308 finished their water ices and we continued on past the store with the Sponge Bob T shirts ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0309 and bought Jane these bracelets ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0310 and left to get Suzanne but not before we took a picture of Len and Judy ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0311 and this gentleman ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0312 took a picture of all of us ../../../Sabbat/2003/03.22-23.03AWeekend//IMG_0313 to record the end of a nice weekend.
