It was the last day before the new semester started, so I decided to drive to Philadelphia and get off the expressway at the parkway I drove through the light at Spring Garden Street and parked the car near Fairmount Avenue in sight of the prison

I walked down to Mt. Vernon got to 2140 and knocked on the pig's nose until DrLen answered but he was still working and his computer was still on

We quickly read a map and took the Ben Franklin Bridge to New Jersey.

Our first notable thing was this sign that the dentists provided we had to turn around here to find our way to Wacker's where there were some fine lamps.

Next we turned around after this house with DrLen steady on the wheel to go to the Den of Antiquity where this gentleman told us that despite the wonderful things in the window it was probably not open

So we drove on through the fields and past the wildlife until we parked the car at the 54 Diner where DrLen carefully studied the menu and we heeded this all important sign My food was so good that I forgot to take a picture until it was gone The waitress was happy to have her picture be part of our record even though we interrupted an impassioned discussion of the tabloid article about what the people on Survivor do when they are off the screen.

Our next stop was at the musical sculptures outside Ralph's After a visit with Ralph (in a situation that was too bizarre to be photographed) we took a few more pictures and headed back to Rte. 40 in search of KingFish where the signs were great

Next we headed to Richland and observed the general store from in front of the post office before going behind the post office to the Antique Depot

We still had another stop (or more) inside but when we next parked, we saw a wonderful painted truck parked nearby next to a propane tank with a fire engine off to the side DrLen had to use the cel phone to call Neil Benson to see if we should buy this typewriter from this lady. As always, the typewriter didn't look as good when we got to the parking lot

Driving on, we came upon the Wall of Shame -- an unfortunate memorial to a man's son who was killed (with 2 of his friends) by a driver of an unlicensed garbage truck. We acknowledged the wrong doings of this large slate of people said our good byes and took some literature to read as we moved along to Vineland where the laundromat was closed but the toy store looked open, so we parked the car and took the obligatory phone booth pictures only to discover that the owner was too busy doing day trading to talk to us.

On the way out of town, we found this real sculpture floss and all in front of the dentists' offices.

We stopped here for custard but they don't sell it in the winter, sow e had to settle for this and then get some gas for the trip home I left my mark in DrLen's car. Hopefully, it will fade well over time to remind us of this day in the country.
