I went to a gigantic school that occupied an entire city block and had K-12 for about 160 kids
per class. Because there were no elective subjects, a group of about 45 of us were together
for every class period of every year we were there. As a result many strong bonds were
created and some last to this day.

One of the 45 people in my group spent a sabbatical year in San Diego and visited me in
the Bay Area. When we were together he promised to put together a dinner with a few
others and this was the result. Our initial group included six of the 45 in the class and
we chose a restaurant to meet for dinner. As it turned out, two others of our group of
45 have dinner together a couple of times per month and they had chosen the same
restaurant. So we ended up with almost 20% of the class in attendance with little or
no planning.  Needless to say we overdosed on reminiscences...

I also got this picture from one of the diners (Javier Porras): the group picture of the
preschool the two of us attended. His current self is the only one wearing a tie and glasses.
In the old picture my brother and I are the ones with the sailor outfits (I will have to ask my
father what was that about) and he is the one directly above my brother (the younger of the
two sailors).

This is another picture of our soccer team in 1957 (give or take one year) that includes
another of the diners (Carlos Grandal). In the current pictures he is the guy with a tie in
shirtsleeves. In the old picture he is the second from the right of the bottom row. I am the
third from the right on the top row.
