It all began when we met Larry at the dinky station and brought him home. Before we knew it, the door bell rang and Janet and Gregory had arrived. Janet was still in motion as you can see. This excited Jane into total chaos. A trip to Newark airport brought back Sylvia and Dan and the person called Dansyl Unfortunately for me, fortunately for you, I lost track fo the camera for the next 24 hours but found it in time to record the arrival of Fran and Dick who was equally excited and just as hyper. Michelle added some civility to the crowd by getting involved in an Uno game which excited Benjamin and brought Fran back to life until Dick started doing his hoser imitation. Sylvia had an excellent hand and Jane started to help her which brought Gregory out with his clementines to do his shaking and then the pizza came and Betsy and Matt arrived which made Matt just as excited and so out of focus. The gang departed

partly in focus, partly out of focus. This caused Sarah to climb on Jane’s back and the rest of us called it a day.

The next day was the main event. Thanksgiving day at last. We awoke to a quiet room adorned with the turkeys from the last Princeton Thanksgiving with Dan reading the newspaper and Benjamin watching the television while Suzanne cooked and Sarah slowly woke up

We got our shirts on and modeled them in various combinations while waiting for the game to begin. There were the usual pre-game photos of the assembled

after which the Kramers arrived each taller than the other. This was our cue to begin the pilgrimage to the field.

Betsy and Dan did a wonderful job of capturing the action in the following series of photos

that capture the spirit of the game.

After the walk home, the girls celebrated on the couch with the newlyweds while the men chatted Before long, it was time for the turkey construction contest

All contestants had a chance to present their results starting with Janet with a brief interlude when Jason arrived fresh from the Atlanta half-marathon. Then Gregory showed his stuff followed by Michelle Benjamin Sarah Betsy Matt Lucy Fran and Jane More food was served and Paige arrived carrying some Kudos/Snickers bars Caroline came with a bottle of wine and suggested that we take pictures of all the shoes by the door Meanwhile, Michelle and Jason Betsy and Matt Dick and Gregory were watching the football game while the turkey cooled and was removed from its pan and placed elsewhere while a game of Uno continued and Paige had the best hand

Jane recorded Larry’s efforts at carving the turkey

We sat at the table and saw the turkey butter People at the dinner table included Larry Matt Betsy Gregory Sylvia Jane Sarah Jason and Michelle Fran Janet Suzanne Benjamin Jan and Jan Paige Dick Dan and David

During the meal, we noticed Jason going back for seconds which looked good as the Jans observed

Benjamin found a new form of amusement while David sat for a photo shoot

and Dick told Dan a story that didn't seem to amuse Paige. But eventually, she sprung to action and moved back into the frame as she and Jan began to do magic, no doubt and Dick went back to his story while Jasona nd Michelle went back for still more Larry laughed until he shook and Benjamin continued his rounds as the turkey melted and the flowers shone in the void causing David to ponder and Benjamin to concur that it was time for dessert

Next came Friday. Some people went to Atlantic City. Some went shopping but everyone converged at Palmer Square to watch Sarah and her friends in the choir sing to the tree Betsy and Matt Dick, Fran and Jon Larry, Janet and Gregory and Jane all seemed to be enjoying themselves as Gregory did his eyeball trick as Janet watched and so did Larry Joyce and Sarah posed for the final pictures and we headed off to dinner.
