We woke up in Cambados and decided to start exploring since we were going to go to La Toxa later in the day, we began our exploring in Cambados by going to the main square in the town where everyone gathered in front of the iglesia (ie church)

for pictures in all directions before we walked across the square and towards the town where we saw a farmacia and then the statue of the man with the grapes (this is, after all, a wine growing region)

and the flowers in town and this branch of Optical Halperin

Next we picked up Suzanne and headed to the playground

including the wonderful steam shovel to dig and dump playground stones

On the way back to the hotel, we took the obligatory phone booth picture along with the monument to Cabanillas

Once back at the hotel we all

had lunch in front of this fountain Since we couldn't finish the tapas jamon we made a small art piece using them.

After a short siesta, we headed to La Toxa to meet Jacobo's family and head to sea. We passed ships like this and mussel farms like this until it was time to dock the boat and say hello to the crabs on the shore. Only Barbara was brave enough to swim in the cold waters as Benjamin began his castle and the rest of us took group photos When we were ready to leave the beach, Benjamin had built an elegant castle (complete with pine cone cannon balls) and we boarded the boat where there were more people photos before we came to the mussel farms

including this boat that was working on their farm and this one with a guard house in the water with Cambados in the background and the horizon far far away

Jacobo also participated in the pictures of this day even going so far as to scan and fix his pictures

We ended the day with dinner at the octopus restaurant not to mention the fish heads that made Jacobo Barbara Suzanne David Sarah Jane and Benjamin quite happy. Jacobo even used his fast hands to remove water and wine labels All this excitement out Benjamin to sleep so that we knew it was time to head home.
