Well, I'll be a horses' it's Sarah's birthday Jane and Benjamin decided to celebrate by riding horses. Sarah chose to have lunch worst schnitzel she ever had at Bet She'an one of the most impressive ruins we've ever seen

While the archaeologists were finishing some excavations, we decided to see a play in the ancient amphitheater The seats were uncomfortable. At least, the actors were good both on stage and off. They were appreciated by the audience The view of the city was grand whether taken in broad perspective or narrow focus

The mosaics were especially impressive

as were the pillows from Ace Speaking of pillows, there were large pillars

and small pillars

and pieces of pillars

Thee were ruins everywhere

and holes and a bath tub They told us this about the street and the artist said it looked like this but it looked like this to us.

Next we came to Silvanus Street. The artist told us what it looked like at 2 time periods The sculpture showed us that the street looked like this and the goldsmith's house like this To us, it all looked like this

Sarah performed the masterful feat of getting the family on delayed action of the camera ( Egypt watch out ) we took the obligatory phone booth picture and headed back home so that we could have Sarah's birthday
