Before leaving Napa, we went for a walk and came upon this rooster which was different from the rooster the day before and these mushrooms which the rooster seemed to enjoy. Arlene gave me a goof plug which, unfortunately, I didn't install tightly enough.

We then made our way to Sonoma where we parked the car and recorded the end of the mission trail (after 300 years) at this historic site. We had intended to go to the girl and the fig as we did 6 years ago but unfortunately it was closed and so we went across the way where this was the corn soup and Suzanne's salad and my sandwich. We then drove off to San Francisco where I recorded this license plate for the collection.

Next day, we went for a short shopping trip down Market Street where we saw these in a Japanese bakery window and then stopped in Union Square to see where someone had left their heart but this was all preliminary to the stop at Nordstrom's where these were the hash tagged signs. We then walked down the street past the cigar store Indian and the cigar statue before we got to the restaurant where we met Linda for dim sum and these are some of the things we ate.

After lunch, we took a group selfie and then walked by the Ferry Building where we saw this trolley blocked by a truck that was hopefully doing repairs and we then recorded Coit Tower and the Bay Bridge not to mention Steuart (spelled correctly) street as we made our way to Bar333 which had this interesting logo and were joined by Sarah so that we could go to the heirloom cafe where these were the salads and my soup before the main courses came followed by this cookie. We then went to the local bar where Suzanne tasted (and disliked) sour beer.

On Saturday, I recorded these succulents and then there was a collection of cable cars which I recorded before we made our way towards the Ferry Building and I recorded this sign for the collection as Suzanne waited for Sarah and Ed at the Slanted Door while I recorded myself against the backdrop of the Bay Bridge as Sarah and Ed arrived and so we could begin our meail whith Sarah and Ed Suzanne and me as the food came

and we then made our way out for a walk to Ft. Mason so that they could pick up materials for the marathon. But, we met this gentleman who had an unfortunate cause before recording this old license plate for the collection and the rules of Alcatraz

before we came to this sculpture. After a failed attempt I recorded this selfie of the four of us and then we went to see the sea lions

against the backdrop of Alcatraz though this crowd and the people in the boat were more interested in the sea lions. Next, we came upon Doggie Diner and eventually we were above Fort Mason and so we went down and recorded images of runners getting prepared to take their marks including Ed and Sarah who were not elites and were not crazy enough to think of doing the ultra and so we made our way outside to the shoe design before stopping for drinks with interesting labels. After a break, we went to dinner at the Park Tavern and started with drinks and deviled eggs along with crispy lemon with barrata and crispy brussel sprouts to accompany the flower on our table before a second round of drinks were ordered to go with the rest of the meal.

Sunday was marathon day and so we went to the finish line at the point where fast runners were going to finish teh half marathon and watched the runners come in as well as the fallen signs and the cheering crowd as runners passed and the Bay bridge stood oblivious while the race proceeded until we saw our 3 favorite runners and bypassed the Claire squares on our way to Giordano Brothers where I did not do well at recording the pictures on the wall before our beer arrived along with sandwiches. After lunch we stopped at City Lights and so had to record Jack Kerouac and the alleyway along with a memory of him as Suzanne and I made our way back to our hotel stopping to record the sight where the Pony Express was.
