On class day, I ran into Ricky Silberman '13 and then at dinner saw Pyper Davis ('87 and trustee) with her husband. before capturing Scott Berg ('71 and trustee) and Toni Morrison and then Adam Finkelstein and Esther Rose who posed with Suzanne and then without her.

The next day was graduation and Hank Farber came by in robes as the crowd assembled outside and Val Smith and Liz Lempert prepared to march as did Amin Sinha '13 and Amelia Bensch-Schaus '13 valedictorian and salutatorian. Afterwards, I caught 3 of the PADT winners -- Deb Nord, Yelena Baraz and Andrew Houck.

The next night as we were settling back to normal and I was eating my dinner Alex Bauman and Sam Cummins came to collect Ben.

Peter Bearman came to visit and to be recruited to Princeton.

It was beer week in Philadelphia and so I headed to Philadelphia to imbibe with Dr. Len and this was our first group of choices of beer and food and here is what we got to drink and eat before we made our way to I. Goldberg's so that Len could try on this hat> Walking through town the next day, I found this sign for the collection.

Next day, we went to New York to meet the Gespass'es and Yakes at Rue 57 Where Ben and Suzanne posed as this gentleman directed traffic and inside this was the menu which amused Jane and Ben as Debbie and Andy studied it the Yakes spoke with Suzanne and I posed with Katie and Jordan before it became noon so that we could study the drink menu as the bread arrived followed by our meals

accompanied by syrup and eventually drinks complete with lime. It took a few tries to get this sign for the collection and then we went to Central park where these group photos were taken

followed by these photos of Ben and Jane. The Puerto Rican day parade was going in full force and so the police had come from Queens as we made our way past the horses to see some of the heroes who were being celebrated including Princeton's own Sonia Sotomayor as the parade passed us by

and so we headed off for the obligatory phone booth picture of Jane and then visited a high end food store and a lower end super hero store before heading home.

Next day, we had the Percarpios Audrey and Alan for dinner where a variety of sliced herbs completed the salmon and cheese platters along with salsa dip before we sat down (or some did, at least) to chicken bruschetta salad and more bruschetta.

Back at work, it was time for June birthdays involving June (appropriately named) and Gilda but not Jen.

Next I went to San Francisco and Fort Funston where this was the scene as we brought along the dogs who began with a drink before we saw our first dog walkers with many as we made our way down the hillside to the beach where the dogs could run free with this great view and against this backdrop with even the man made structures suitably decorated

though none was competitive with this sea rope complete with bubbles in its elegant layout as Jacobo began preparations to launch the ball for the dogs to chase even as the beach patrol arrived and we eyed the path we would have to take back to the car which made the sand all the more appealing even as the dog walkers appeared with many under their control

but eventually we began our trek stopping for the occasional photo (and breath catching) before we entered the hang gliding landing zone as Jacobo made his way up the hill and past the markers though despite the sign, no one was landing at the moment but I did record these signs and some history before I found the structures designed to repel both the Japanese and the Russians from our shores. Seems to have worked both times. and some remarkable flowers but still the hang gliding signs persisted and so we headed down the coast to Pacifica where there were paragliders and rocks, never a good combination but the paragliders flew as the dogs explored and Jacobo and then Barbara held them back before this family photo was taken even as the flights continued. Next we made our way to the ugly pier with lots of warning and then on to Barbara's fishtrap in Princeton by the sea where this was the beer I drank and while in Half Moon Bay, I posed with the locals since Sarah wasn't there that day and then after recording this sign for the collection, we called it a day. That evening, I joined Sarah and Ed for a dinner that included this wonderfully presented dish.

Next I went to San Diego where we made this movie for Jason before heading to the Marine Room for the birthday dinner where Dan Syl Paige Larry and I settled in as the menu was presented and I began with the mushrooms as Paige had her salad and then the main courses of lamb fish salmon and tofu arrived as Elizabeth was our waitress who brought us the special birthday dessert and we sang to the birthday girl after which she blew out the candle even as the sun was going down and a few other deserts arrived before the sun set so that the assembled could reach down to the lotus decoration and then pose for our group photo in darkness and in light.

Back at home, the crew came to make measurements for the art show and Margie and Orlando posed before doing a sample testing of boards on the wall.

Next, we went to New York to help celebrate Martha's birthday and arrived to see the nice flower arrangement Suzanne had sent as our waiter appeared and gazpacho (an amuse buche) was served and the Slaugher men present posed as did Jane who took this photo of us toasting the birthday girl before recording the old friends. The memory book was presented to Martha which she quite enjoyed and then my caprese salad (with excellent Balsamic) arrived along with the beet salad and oysters even though there was no R in the month and some meat since it was the Strip House along with spinach potatoes mushrooms and, at long last, my macaroni and cheese before the dessert menu appeared and we sang happy birthday until Martha blew out the candles and cake was eaten. This left me with the wish to take a few artistic photos of the candles on the table which i couldn't quite center and this sign for the collection before we left and headed to Ann's apartment where there was a real need for proxies.

A few days later, I led a focus group at Two Sigma

And, after a hearty breakfast at the Bus Stop Cafe with Jane I led another focus group at Two Sigma
