As the academic year drew towards a close, it was a time of many celebrations which began with a student lunch for Eric Shullman ('15), Caitlin V. Wood ('15), Lucy Lee ('14), Pranav Gokhale ('15), Ray Auduong ('13), Meagan Downey ('13), and Cynthia Cherrey (Campus Life)

Next day I woke up in New York and jane and i had breakfast in a place where this was the sign for the collection and we passed these carrots on our way.

A few days later at a dinner to celebrate endowed chairs I sat with Howard Stone and Don Dixon.

The next night was the Behrmann dinner and as per tradition I recorded Leonard Barkan, Nick Barberio and Suzanne before we headed home for a photo of ourselves and called it a night.

A few days later the compliance people Jan Palancia and Ethan Zlotchew came to visit our senior staff meeting before I got on the train and went to see Mr. Jefferson's desk at the state department where we were celebrating Mung Chiang (shown here with family) and here with the acting head of the NSF and the head of the National science Board and here with me. I was very happy to also see Diane Souvaine *86 at the event

Next it was Mother's Day and so we headed to Agricola with two of our children as a tea bag in an elegant container was brought for Ben to accompany the drinks the rest of us had as the silverware boded well for the many dishes we would enjoy

along with tabasco sauce as Ben's tea bag container was flattened and dessert menus were served before we headed off to take our official street-side Mother's day photos.

Back at work, I had the final faculty lunch of the year for Brandice Canes-Wrone (Politics and Woodrow Wilson School), Brigid Doherty (German and Art and Archaeology), Mark Johnston (Philosophy), Atif Mian (Economics and Woodrow Wilson School), Eve Ostriker (Astrophysics), Robert Willig (Economics and Woodrow Wilson School), and John Storey (Molecular Biology).

Next it was time for the C3 dinner catered by Max Hason. Plates were being prepared as was food with some amazing condiments as things were starting to be assembled and cooked and sliced with some remarkable results

as more ingredients and Max's tool box made us comfortable that the main table was set and wine and coffee cups prepared not to mentioned the flowers as I admired the other tables and the rearranged living room as there were flowers and the bar was set even as the outside horticulture seemed to be working

or at least it felt that way at the bar and the kitchen desk had its own share of setups including this beautiful plate I never knew we had. Back in the kitchen, an amazing appetizer was being prepared one cup at a time as the fillings were gathered

and other foods were being prepared before the cups (yogurt and various fruit tastes) were ready for consumption so that the event could begin.

Next day, Joe Scanlan brought David Reinfurt by to discuss things he might do for my art show.

Next, it was time for Lindsay's shower or more precisely for a luncheon to honor her. Food was assembled

before Seva and Jane posed because of matching dresses and then Seva, Suzanne and Sara posed and were joined by Jane who had set out the drink glasses ready for rum punch. And, what event would be complete without Jane's shoes.
