It was time for the graduation celebration and so the decorations were hung
as Ben got his robe
and wore it by the infamous first day of school tree before heading to the precession prep.
Meanwhile I collected Jane from the train and we came back to get Sarah, Suzanne and Ed
and we headed to the main event where the seats had been arranged
though Sarah and Ed were forced to sit in the bleachers
as we sat in the main section and Jane and Suzanne posed
as we greeted the Manleys who were 2 rows behind
and Mark Little in the distance
and saw Dave Davis and Bo Honore from afar
as the procession left the school
much to the amusement of Suzanne and Jane
and the first students (Gautier here) marched down the aisle
as anticipation grew
until Ben came past
after which Sarah and Ed joined our section
having been led there by Seva
who wondered if her sons would be able to sing the alma mater
as Ofry Shatzky, the class president, spoke
and I recorded the program
even as Around Eight sang their first number (which came across as a bit of a dirge)
and then the student speakers led by Handy Pierre
who reminded me that I had to record the program
before he was followed by Sadik Shahidain
who took a few shots to come in clearly
and then Lucy Fleming spoke and sang
and I recorded the entry wristband for completeness of experience
as principal Gary Snyder
and superintendent Judy Wilson spoke
as the students began to get on stage to complete diplomas
until we saw Ben in the line
though he was obscured
as students made their way across the stage
and so it was Ben's turn as he greeted Snyder
and made his way off stage
as the ceremony continued
and he found his way back to his seat
before Andy Ie got his diploma
in a blur
and the procession continued from the other side
before Joel Straus got his diploma
followed by Ben Strauss (note the extra s)
and as the ceremony ended I noticed a hawk on the tower
as the students made their way out
heading towards an assembly by the door as the assembled made their way in a similar direction
while Jane carried the celebratory balloons
and the assembled graduates celebrated
until hats were thrown
with some landing high above
as the celebration continued.
Meanwhile we ran into Lisa Kreuger, math teacher of excellence,
and Lisa and Suzanne posed
before we made our way to congratulate the graduate
and Jane, Ed and Sarah studied the pictured they had taken
as Suzanne tried to add to the collection
and this might be what she saw
before our photo was taken
and then Suzanne was recorded
as Jane went off to speak with Alex Tank and Stu Blair
and we found Ben who posed with Suzanne
before I joined Suzanne and Ben

After recording this photo at our table
Jane went off to record the assembled seniors, this being the place to be
and I recorded Sara's chicken
which came out better with a flash
and Jane's pasta
Suzanne's chicken with the protective glove
Ed's pasta
Steven's fish
Peter's veal
and my pizza
not to mention Ben's meal
and the pasta on the side
and the pasta on the plate
as dinner proceeded with a slight change of seats
before Ben opened his gift
while I held the bag
and as our team proceeded
