It was birthday time at the office and so we celebrates the birthdays of Stephanie Cook and Megan McCourt

The next day, Jennifer Potter of Audit came by for a meeting and then I headed home for dinner with Cornel and the family.

To get ready for Mother's Day, Suzanne and I took a walk in the Institute woods where we saw the George Washington marker and then Suzanne made her way through the woods

and we celebrated the life of Hugh mercer before reading about the Mercer oak which died here and is coming back to life here.

Back at home, I took before photos of Ben before he went off to get his Mother's Day present

At the PEF dinner, we sat with Alan and Audrey who posed for these photos.

Ben awoke and presented his Mother's day gift and then we drove to Jane's apartment where we saw the nicely hung shelves and then took to the streets walking past the Spy Store until we got to DBGB where the walls were covered with sayings Which distracted from the menu as I considered age and then went back to the menu to order my drink as Jane and Ben posed and then Suzanne and I did before this family (minus one) photo was taken by this gentleman and we returned to the menu and I noticed the beauty of my drink and of the signs before the butter and jelly arrived to accompany the basket of breads and then Suzanne's sausage my omelette Ben's burger and Jane's croque monsieur arrived as Ben took the jalapeno out of his piggie burger and then we watched the dessert and caught one more sign before beginning the trek home past this very interesting sign and the mother's day celebration at a bar we didn't go to but we did see a values statement as we went into Brooklyn (the store, not the borough) and Ben tried on a hat but I noted the sad situation of this lost person. Before leaving town, we brought our waters from Starbucks to visit Jeff.

Brian Herrara stopped by to fill out paperwork and I was able to welcome our first arriving new faculty member,
