It was December and time for another faculty lunch with Nathan Arrington (Art and Archaeology), Paul Cuff (Electrical Engineering), Paul Lewis (Architecture), Nick Nesbitt (French and Italian) and Susan Marshall (Peter B. Lewis Center for the Arts and Dance).

At week's end, I went for a cruise day to Doylestown with DrLen and we began at the non-denominational Pebble Hill Church where the speaker was ready and peace was at hand as the dumpster divers got ready for their exhibition and DrLen surveyed the property while arranging for us to come back and meet with Gretchen alter. But first we drove into town and parked the car at this meter and checked out Puck's before heading to Smokin Lil's where the menu and the sauces suggested that the drinks would be good and the owner posed with DrLen in their matching shirts as the American Flag stood guard before we left the area and respected the bench and then were back at Pebble Hill Church where we met Gretchen and admired the pieces in the gallery including the golf clubs the sculpture the works by DrLen and the Lincoln of pennies even as we made our way around the gallery for another round of views of photos while we concocted the visionary Burma Shave religion and set our roles in the religion.

After a visit to the facilities where I got this collection sign we headed down the road to Perkaise and this bakery where we ordered pastries and DrLen had tea before I headed back to collect Suzanne and Jane so that we could go to Metro North for dinner where we ran into Jennifer and Cindy and Anna and her friend who took this picture of us.

Hannukah being in the air, the table was set latkes were made fruit brisket artichokes and bean soup to which grated cheese could be added were made so that we were ready to sit down to a feast

as the latkes and artichokes went down so that we could look at menorahs strawberries and gifts before lighting the menorahs but perhaps we should have focused more closely on this one which almost lit the house on fire while we were watching Suzanne's gift be opened (and then installed).

I ended the week with a faculty lunch for Alexander Glaser (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Woodrow Wilson School), Michael Gordin (History), Goran Blix (French and Italian), Vance Smith (English), Jeff Schwartz (Chemistry), Noriko Manabe (Music) and Naphtali Meshel (Religion).
