another year had passed and so it was time for the Race for The Cure and so the apples were out and the kitchen was gathering food as the map was being drawn and cheese was placed to clear some of the clutter and make for nice demonstration plates which as the table was set were rearranged to make better use of grapes and then the skewers of fruit and condiments and other foods and fruits were only interrupted by hand photos as the bananas and pasta appeared along with the chips cookies and flowers as the vegetables were placed while we made the pilgrimage to Hoagie Haven and had a 6 footer delivered to and placed in the car for the return home where water was being placed on the porch and we then observed the people gathering in the house and those coming up the driveway

as the neighbors and Rich Gittleman and Paul Dimaggio joined the ever forming crowd as we made our way to the back yard for the slow assembly into the group photo which is now a classic event

and then we were off on the walk where we ran into Kathleen and Mitch and Liam who had arrived late and completed the walk so that we could return home to the serious food and gather in conversation with friends and be very thankful that it's been more than 8 years since Suzanne was diagnosed and treated.
