It was break week so there were opportunities to cool our heels and do different things. On Wednesday, Jane and I took the dinky to the Junction and then sat in the last row of the train to the city and caught the 1 train north stopping at 59th street 66th street 79th street and this unlabeled stop (but missing the wonderful picture because the shutter didn't flex) and getting off at 110th to go to Sarah's apartment and begin the trek across the park to the east side where we found this bottle of unknown contents lying on the sidewalk and speculated about what it might contain while making our way to the Cooper-Hewitt where the exhibit solidified our sense of style as we saw this well placed sign discretely on this fence and then walked by the Russian consulate and then recorded this sign that showed my newfound membership in the ASPCA as we made our way to 3rd Avenue and almost went to the Barking Dog Luncheonetteuntil we saw the parade of carriages followed by the waitress serving biscuits to visiting dogs and so we went across the street to the Tamarind where these were the meals that sustained us for the walk back across the park to the West Side

on which walk we saw these signs for the future in front of the Alfred E Smith school even as we purchased this brownie for Jane to eat on the ride home and recorded Ed's membership in the Bacon of the Month Club as we made our way to the subway at 110th that would take us to the train home.

Next day, the kitchen was filled with foods

as chicken was cooked as the guests slowly assembled and Dov, Patrick and Morgan and then Morgan and Jane were ready to have the meal that George made with the appetizers chicken salad pasta and cheese covering the table as the assembled admired my self portrait and plate even as Suzanne emerged from her recovery bed (back out of whack) and strawberries chocolate cake and raspberries were served for dessert.

AS the month was drawing to an end and the temperatures got cold, Jane and Morgan went to dinner Ben went to Cottilion and Suzanne and I prepared to go to Susan Glazer's complete with the Shermans, the Yi and Susan and Ernie (and let us not forget Joe the butler who took some of these pictures).
