It was the start of Hannukah and so we invited the Straus, the Strauss and the Spergel families to celebrate and the children gathered in one room as the table was set the donuts (Krispy Kremes just like the Maccabees had) and the candles were ready for the buffet full of food and desserts which would fill us even as the family room emptied and the fire burned while the children's table was set and Audrey spoke with Sarah as the adult table came into focus adorned by menorahs and the star before children started to assemble at the children's table and Cara posed as the children ate and Jane Audrey and Sarah and Alan and Ed were ready to sit at the adult table where Rick settled his plate as the buffet cane into heavy usage as I composed this plate for myself while we all enjoyed the meal and the conversation as the desserts loomed but could not be touched until the menorah assembly had been done with Ed and Alan and Suzanne watching as the candles were lit amid singing until the candles began to burn low

The next night of Hunnukah, we opened the present from Grandma and posed with the delights which were very quickly consumed.

The next day of Hannukah was also Xmas, so the Kramers and Justs arrived to some hors d'ouveres as Jane admired the appetizer that got too much light and we admired the toppings for the fish before getting ready to go to the dining table and ponder Suzanne's four fish meal with asparagus that amused Ben as we took this questionable photo of the garbage and then the soup (no fish) and sardines and pear appetizer followed by (not very red) red snapper and shrimp accompanied by good wine and the famous German's chocolate cake before the candles were lit.

Having survived to the end of Hannukah, we parked in space 554 and while the others waited I navigated the ticket machine and watched the scenery from the window until we got to the city and made our first stop at the umbrella room where Jane and Suzanne were happy with this hot dog though they also admired the pretzels before we began our walk down Broadway past the many many perfume shops and umbrella rooms when after the last perfume stop we took scenic photos of the city (sometimes with spectators) until Suzanne and Jane emerged from the perfume experience to enjoy the eternal light flagstaff with flowers underneath.

After an obligatory phone booth picture we pressed on until we got to the Good Burger where we studied the menu noted that the Jets had fired their coach (heaven help them if they hire Bill Cowher!) and ordered our meal which excited Ben and Jane as Suzanne and I watched and read the literature that accompanied our meals before we moved on to the Village where, wonder of wonders, we ran into Ellen Barth and the cute baby Leo before seeing the street pizza man the signs of NYU's walls the cigar store Indian and a street view that inspired Jane and Suzanne to answer the phone and then march to Washington Square Arch where we saw George on the arch which was cause for a short rest before recording this architectural point of interest and the Mustang painted like the store front before Jane and Suzanne crossed to the Swatch store and we recorded the uptown view and the sale window (with the small letters) across from the Kochendorfer Building where Ben and I awaited the shoppers so Ben took pictures of the Fed Ex truck and me his shoes and my shoe and a few of the local trees before we passed the cardboard store when we saw the Subway sandwich man and purchased 2009 glasses from the man who posed with Jane and Benjamin on Canal Street where we got a vegetarian bun which took a few shots to record and bubble tea and a pineapple smoothie as our last food before we got to Jefferson's apartment and realized that a flash was needed as we recorded Jane Jeff and Suzanne before Jeff told a tale as Jane and Ben and Sarah and Ed and then Jane Ben and I admired the empty chair and took our food and drink

which amused me before the experimental photography began.

Next we assembled at dinner where this was the wine and these were the foods before Wellington arrived and more food was ordered

which amused those assembled

before we bid adieu to Zampa and headed to a nearby mall where we took these photos of Suzanne and Jane and Jane and Ben before these visitors took our group pictures after which Sarah emerged from the dark and saluted the New Year for us. Happy 2009 to all.
