It was an exciting day for all, being the day when this family unit would change in exciting ways. Jane was ready and we got into the car in time for our journey but an equipment problem made us arrive at the bus and board a few seconds late. Sara Just was comfortable as were the Levines and Ben and Jane settled in as we drove to Staten Island and, in traffic, saw details of how long it would take to get to the Verrazzano Bridge (18 minutes) and once on the bridge Brooklyn lay before us and though we chose not to take the Last Exit we did see the Brooklyn Museum and know that we were near our destination where we appreciated the No Smoking policy as we made our way in magically timed to meet Sarah and Ed who had just arrived so that Ed, Sarah and Ben could pose before Jane came into the scene and Sarah tried to tell Suzanne that something was amiss with her teeth. This exchange completed, it was picture time for Sarah, Suzanne and Jane then Ed, Sarah, Suzanne and Jane then Ed, Sarah, Suzanne, Jane and Ben and finally a failed groups elf portrait that stopped at Ed, Sarah, Suzanne and Jane before Ed took these pictures of the family.

Next we wandered past the lily pad and found Seva, mother of the groom, and Myron, grandfather of the groom as Seva hugged Ben while Suzanne and Sara watched before Rory emerged for a quick pose with Myron and Suzanne as the main act were being photographed in the distance as our group began to make its way pausing to say hello to Renee's sister, Ann as we saw the bride and groom being photographed by others and toasted the occasion first in the generation of the younger and then in both generations before recording Steven and Sara, the elder Justs and Mike Leopold who was taking his own pictures. Once at the wedding area, we saw the string quartet and the bema, so to speak as Suzanne, Sara and Steven continued to make their way and I took this artistic photo of Jane through a glass before seeing Judy and the Rothbergs. As the Justs headed to be seated I arrived to see the family in their seats the tree the string quartet the bema and the other tree all ready for the event as were Gayle and Sandy who were blocked from view by Ben's finger before I took some more tree pictures (it was, after all a botanical garden) another of the bema another tree and the photographer (who has among the worst taken of to taken by ratios) before recording the string quartet as the rabbi appeared followed by the chupah bearers as Myron took his seat Rory marched in as did Peter, Seva and Josh and all under the chupah (and indeed the cameras of those in front of me) watched as the maid of honor arrived and then Renee came in escorted by her mother and was greeted by a very happy Josh. As the ceremony progressed I recorded Josh's vows (missing the beginning) and Renee's (though the volume is low) and then after a few final (and very meaningful) remarks, the ceremony was ended and we made our way to the cocktail party where Suzanne posed first with the bride's mother and then with the groom's mother as we spoke with Art Meisel while waiting for food and then went to see Rory and Lindsay before the chicken man appeared bringing these wares only to be followed by the lamb chops as Ben admired the arrangement of napkins and I took in the buffet from which Ed extracted this massive carrot. Next, I went to congratulate the bride and groom who obliged with a few photos.

The professional photographer was nice enough to take these photos with my camera after he had taken a few with his which elicited this reaction from Steven as Suzanne posed with the bride and groom and then Suzanne and I did the parental thing with them. Meanwhile, Sarah wanted her belt to be seen in all ways which amused Ben even as Sarah and Suzanne posed (with Jane and Ben behind) and the four were joined by Ed as I greeted Sandy and Peter and headed inside to get our name tag which directed us to Table 8 where the seats were explored as the table shined and Peter greeted the Pasachoff's first in darkness and then in light the Justs found their seats and the fun was about to begin.

This was the traditional lifting of people in chairs beginning with Renee as Seva watched followed by Josh with Seva again leading the cheering and then Peter which continued to amuse Seva though her turn was next and next it was Susan, Renee's mother before the hora dancing resumed

before I reappeared in the scene as Peter danced with Seva and Josh joined Seva and Peter as Ben danced with Suzanne before the salad course was served and we learned about the charity of the bride and groom as Renee danced with Peter and Josh sat with his mother while Myron said the motzie and Rory gave the toast. Next Seva danced with Myron as the Justs danced here were Seva and Myron the ceiling Myron and Seva again and the ceiling sans flash with a final shot of Myron and Seva as Suzanne and Gayle spoke and Peter spoke with Seva's college room mate and her friend about getting even. Back on the dance floor, Rory and Lindsay were moving too fast but we were able to slow them down because perhaps Seva and the Pasechoffs were discussing time dilation as the cheese course arrived and Jane, Ben, Ed and Sarah posed for this picture before Judy approached Ben and convinced him to dance to Jane's amusement as Sara and Lizzie watched and Jane danced creating shadows which caused Suzanne and I to dance and then for me to slow down and watch Sara and Suzanne do their number which didn't seem to capture Ben. Next, Seva, Suzanne and Sara did their Spice Girls thing before Seva did a repeat with Susan and her friend while Peter and Suzanne danced which amused Sarah and Ben on the sidelines and Jane and Ben joined to capture this video of Peter dancing with Suzanne as Ed and a bit of Sarah convinced Suzanne to do a repeat dance with Peter. Ed and Sarah danced and the blur lifted a bit to display the wedding cake as the bride danced with her grandfather

and the groom danced with his mother making way for the dessert to come along with pastries and leading Ben to appear incognito with Suzanne and do the 4 eyes trick as the bride's grandparents danced even as Bert Rothberg walked by. Sara, Lizzie and Steven posed as did Ben and Jane before Suzanne danced with the bride's grandparents then Suzanne and Jane did a dance that required video before settling down so that other dancers could be seen as I made my way to record the wedding cake and ketubah.

Josh and Renee danced as Sarah and Suzanne watched from the sidelines, then Sarah, Jane, Ben and Ed danced and posed as Suzanne came by to offer pointers which made Sarah and Ed and Jane and Ben return with vigor even as Suzanne posed with Judy and then with Myron and Sarah and Ed watched Rory and Lindsay take to the floor before Sara and Suzanne posed as the cake was being cut which left Seva quite entertained as the photographer missed this scene because he was watching this one.

This led to yet another round of photos beginning with Seva Peter Judy, Peter and Josh's boss Suzanne and Jane Sarah, Suzanne and Jane and their male counterparts, David, Ben and Ed, Steve and Gilda Paul Rory and Lindsay Peter and his brother Art Meisel and Peter Ben and Suzanne playing a form of patty cake which led Suzanne and Jane back onto the dance floor before the wedding cake came and Rory danced with Seva as Josh kibbutzed before Suzanne and I danced

before Suzanne returned to Ben who was by now quite worn out from the proceedings. Gayle and Suzanne posed because of their matching clothes (gentle reader, I apologize for not remembering the designer's name) and Suzanne posed with Hillary before we ran to the bus for the journey home and wished the new couple a most happy life together.
