Our time in Greece was running out as it was time to get ready to head to Kenya. We still had time for one short walk into Athens which we did stopping at this church where the kids watched
as Suzanne got ready to go in
before we headed to this cafe for a last drink
which made Jane
Suzanne
and Ben feel good
though this missed photo
made me want to take a self portrait
and then to capture Sarah with her last freddicino
as Ben had iced tea
as I had Coca Cola Light
and the girls seemed to be enjoying the last of Athens
even as I went to the bathroom and realized that a flash would be necessary
to capture this sign
and then returned to Jane and Sarah
as Suzanne was investigating Ben's toes.
On our way back to the hotel for a final time, we noted the archeology at the Roman Agora as diggers were working at reconstruction

Once at the airport, I pushed the wrong button so that this photo
actually came out as a movie
P1020459
and then a real photo.
Our photo was on the board
so after waiting in line
and taking another picture of the 51,808 words in Greek
we found some food including Tsakiris sticks
some sandwiches
and a cheese pie (feta with tomato)
all for a reasonable price
before we headed to the plane and had a snack
that didn't get much better when it was opened.
Once in Brussels, we walked the 39 steps to the Sheraton
and found our room
and bathroom
with a nice view of the airport runways
and parking lots before heading down to the hotel tavern for dinner
where Sarah
Ben
Jane
Suzanne
Ben (he was there once but had 2 pictures)
and I
were delighted to have an assortment of Belgian beers
a Ceaser salad
which showed better with less light
pizza
Croque Monsieur
a burger
with a side order of fries
and my cheese and tomato sandwich (though tomatoes were in short supply) which made us feel well for the night.
This is the day we are heading to Nairobi but first we needed to take pictures as the glass elevator descended
and then we made our way to the airport where they were checking in our flight though it wasn't yet listed on the board
as the family noted when trying to find it
before we could turn our attention to our suitcases
and wonder why the handle broke off of Ben's.
We had time for a quick breakfast which was accompanied by the malaria medication but first the table was set
with water
and waffles
and lovely glasses
at this cafe in the airport
while Suzanne and Sarah went to get chocolate which came with this free sample
one side of which would not photograph well
even as we approached our gate
and watched the cameramen conduct their interview as we boarded.
Once on board, we observed the town of Charleroi on the map (maybe this is where Maggie came from?)
as Sky Bites were served
but Ben's iced tea came in a funny color
as my main course
opened to reveal falafel and cous cous
with a particularly stringy salad
and a strawberry fig newton like dessert
complimented by pretty accessories
and wine
all of which came before Ben's lunch
which was topped off by some of the chocolate Suzanne bought in the airport.
The flight was long enough that we next got this container of ice cream
with a nice design for where the spoon should go
and then a good flavor to eat.
This was followed by yet another plate of food that I recorded and another that I chose not to record because it was enough already.
After all of the travel, we found ourselves in Nairobi where this was our room
and this was our bathroom at the Fairview Hotel
