This was the day we intended to go visit Larry and Janet in La Habra but first we stopped at Dansyl's and surveyed the wind damage to the tree in front which landed here as we observed and as the construction continued. Once en route, we passed through Fashion Island behind this car and drove past this bank before seeing the Newport Beach Country Club (as seen on the OC) and making our way across the bridge and past the frozen banana shop to park the car on Balboa Island where we noted our cross streets.

Once there, we admired the sand and the boats and the people taking pictures as we came to the Be Kind and Don't Be Fined dispenser and the Abe Lincoln house and this decorated house with the welcoming sign and these prize winning houses along the way, each better than the one before

all of which led us to the ferry station as we saw the sign welcoming us to where we were leaving as we boarded the ferry (60 cents each way) and saw where we were heading and the admiral who was taking us there. In the port, we saw some nice boats and in the distance were Jane's corndogs for $2 and the sign welcoming us to where we were going as we captured Jane's corn dogs again another Newport Beach sign and the street that led to Pizza Pete's and this scrap we found on the street as we entered deeply into OC country and passed the drug store and taco stand en route to Ruby's which was the original location not to mention the historic flight that took place here even as we learned about tsunami evacuation and looked back at the beach as we marched on away from the beach and towards Ruby's where we obeyed the pier signs and checked out the menu for take out because the wait was long (as it was for take out) and then viewed the beach and took some family photos

as we looked down the pier towards the beach

and then watched the fisherman and his sea as we wondered if we were fishing for dinner as Suzanne waited and the milkshakes finally came but still we waited as the ducks were on the pond and we made our way with food at last back to the hot coals picnic table where we had no reservation but still could dig into our meals (complete with transfat) and save nothing for the pigeons. After lunch, we skipped dessert on the island and caught the ferry back to the island where we were greeted and the others waited for me to take a nature break before we passed this house with prize winning decorations as we made our way past the cow to the frozen banana store where we studied the menu and then Benjamin had this life altering treat as Jane bought these new shoes and we worried about traffic on the freeway

as Jane and Ben wondered when we'd be there yet but first we had to stop at AM PM to get to the pump and purchase and pump enough to get us home even as this sign extolled the virtues of what we were buying.

After a stopa t the international headquarters of Stop Look Sign Co. we proceeded to La Habra where we brought the vanilla as a gift and the tequilla as a vision and welcomed Christiano as Larry used the computer and Suzanne checked out the sewing room which didn't lure Larry away from his free cell game though Janet was ready to greet Christiano and Paige as she and Suzanne and Larry took their places at one end of the table even as Jane sat with Janet Christiano with Larry and Ben posed as Suzanne ordered this drink and we ate away at the chips and guacamole to the amusement of the bartender and waitress and as the meal went on, Janet, Suzanne and Larry seemed fine as did Paige and Christiano and Ben and Jane though the food kept on coming with occasional breaks for artistic scenes

before the main course was served

and once sated, we all seemed relaxed though not prepared to violate this ordinance.
