On Tuesday, we woke up, checked our room looked at the newspaper and then headed for breakfast which was a wide spread

and Jane decided to use the waffle iron to make a waffle which once poured had to cook as we reviewed the instructions and then waited until the waffle was ready and gently coaxed it out. Meanwhile I was making a tortilla treat as Jane had her hash browns and we took family photos of Suzanne Ben and Jane, who chose to be incognito even as I had my melted cheese extravaganza and we watched Suzanne peel an orange as Ben wondered if it would be peeled and I discovered a new taste sensation -- hash browns with melted cheese, jalapenos, and scallions and ate it all up even as the waffle was unfinished and there was milk and a tortilla and half a half a bagel not to mention hot chocolate which inspired Jane to take many photos

leading up to her series of pictures of Ben and Suzanne

and then Ben in partial motion

before we returned to the room to get ready for our excursion to the cove at La Jolla.

The cove was, as always, a beautiful setting with the pigeons along the cliffs and the seals below and as we took note of the warning signs we headed down to see the seals and after taking some family pictures we focussed on seal pictures in earnest

with a break to record the sea

before returning to the seals

and then after some warning signs we were back to the seals

pausing for a movie and then the seals Suzanne and Ben and back to seal pictures

which amused Ben and Suzanne as the waves reached the shore and we observed a ship out to sea before returning to the seals

and then it was time to move on as Ben and Jane posed in the climbing area before we noted a misspelled name as the climbing continued

with some help for Suzanne as they marched on and up the hill

and came to rest on a park bench on top of the hill as we watched the surfers and the sand walkers

leading to these pictures of Jane and Suzanne and the gull as they moved down the sand and Ben climbed up as the little rodent watched and Jane and Suzanne made their way forward but steered clear of the hot coals as the rescue boat went by and we noted the Biblical verse and the happiness that had happened here before we had family pictures of Suzanne and Jane and then I joined Jane and Suzanne

then Suzanne left us and Ben replaced her and so we watched the sea

and sat until Ben was asked to take a picture and this is what he shot (or so we hope) Meanwhile, back at the beach we saw this dead fish in the seaweed

and after some sea scenes

and sea gulls we left the pond scum and made our way to Bristol Farms where we chose to eat inside and after taking instructions on how to clean the bathroom and how to wash our hands we saw that they had been following procedure and so headed out where Jane Ben Syl Dan Suzanne and I had soup burger Cobb salad and turkey sandwich and were happy.

After seeing Casino Royale, we came back to Dansyl's to see the dessert tray and the back of the salad plate and the iceberg lettuce quarters with our bottle of wine that seemed to defy a clear picture as we studied the vegetarian lasagna while the table was set and soup and then lasagna were served to the satisfaction of Suzanne and Jane Dan Syl and Ben and I. We didn't finish the salad which was convenient but as the cleanup proceeded the butter turned into a Harry and David's pear and then there was darkness. Suzanne came back for a drink the wine bottle looked a little tattered and I amused Suzanne bye ating some more vegetables and capturing the bell collection before the Ventura Feldmans arrived led by Gary and Carmia Arielle, Leila and !! Jeff and Gabrielle with Ada in the background.
