I knew graduation was coming soon but before I could face up to graduation, Liam Brockey (History) came to chat and the next day, Bess Ward came and agreed to be the next chair of Geosciences and then Bob Frieden and Len Babby came to discuss Linguistics at Princeton.

Next it was graduation day. Sandra went wild (in the best of ways) with the camera though she suffered photo-distress when all the batteries died. She began with Mark Bahadurian and Eddie Dixon and moved on to Randy Setlock and Jennifer Bolton before heading outside for a few pictures of John Fleming and then Ann Haliday and Claudia Johnson Jeff Nunakawa Hank Farber and Bill Bialek, Bill Gleason, Sundar Sundaresan and Joel Cooper, the PADT winners who then posed with Sandra and then as a group again and with John Fleming as Lianne seemed to be totally enjoying graduation as did Mary from across the hall and Paul Muldoon before there were pictures of the PADT winners with me and the gathering folks outside the faculty room as Bob Rawson congratulated some of the winners and Seamus Heaney spoke with Susan Stewart Chuck Brown and Paul Farmer much to Janet Gruschow's amusement as the Rawson conversation continued and Sandra entered the faculty room where the light just wasn't good enough until this picture of Shirley with the PADT winners as Bob Rawson studied his lines and Shirley got the winners ready to march along with everyone else including Bill Frist and Chuck Brown.

Next, Sandra moved outside and captured the award winners with Bob Kaster Tony Grafton and Sarah with friends as this unknown faculty member assembled along with Bob Gunning, one of my predecessors, Dan Marlow Margaret Martonosi Marie Griffiths, Eric Gregory and Eddie Glaude Laurel Harvey with Janet Rapeleye and Laurel again Alan Mann, Peter Bogucki and a friend Terri Harris Reid and Lianne Sullivan-Crowley Alan Mann, Peter Bogucki and friend with Andrea LaPaugh (back to camera) Dan Rubenstein and Simon Levin Pete McDunough at a distance and some others John Wilmerding and Hal Foster Karin Trainer and Jed Marsh our friends from religion (Marie Griffiths, Eric Gregory and Eddie Glaude) again Anne Marie Slaughter Bill Bialek with Maggie Browning and Kerry Walk Hiasashi Kobayashi and Ed Felten Rik, Ed and Sarah still waiting to march in and Craig Arnold

Next it was the 3 deans me talking to Rawson, Oxman and Chris Shirley with her marshalls and the troups marching out of Nassau Hall as the trustees assembled to Claudia's amusement and Seamus spoke with Katie Hall and Doug Clark as Chris and I were ready to march and Shirley said a final word to Nancy as Jeff watched and Sandie Bermann was ready to marshall as the trustees waited and YS Chi spoke with Peter Wendell as the honorees and their hosts were ready to be marched in even as Janet Grischow watched the final picture of Matt Margolin and Bill Frist after which the camera battery died.

Good job Sandra. Congratulations, class of 2006.
