Many things were about to happen but I was still at work and so had a meeting with David Bellos (French and Italian) before hosting lunch for Alan Patten(Politics), Anne McCauley(Art and Archaeology), Jessica Trounstine(Politics and Woodrow Wilson School), Nicole Shelton(Psychology), Luigi Martinelli(Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering), Michael Fara(Philosophy),and Guust Nolet(Geology)

The next day was the lottery for March Madness and Uncle Ken was there to draw the first name even as Mac was relegated to a DiceMan role.

And, as a send off, Maggie and her room mate showed up one day to see the pennies.

Then it was time to make the excursion to Maryland for a wedding just as we'd done for
Betsy and Matt in August, 2000
Emily and Jim in April, 2004
and for
Erin and Greg in September, 2004 (though this wedding was not in Maryland) .

But this time, we were off to Ellen and Brian's wedding once we could get past the people working on our bathrooms and load the trunk as Ben brought out his bag for the car so that we could go by the high school where we ran into the St. Patrick's Day kid and a few friends of Jane as we noted that it was wheels up time (plus 3 minutes) as Jane joined us and we could stop for a shamrock cookie to mark the date before driving onward through the Pennsylvania Turnpike until we could enter traffic south of Harrisburg as Suzanne and I hoped we would get to downtown Taneytown and see its traffic light before Ben and Jane and Suzanne took our welcoming pictures before we caught up with Toba and Andy who were to be our hosts once we found the Antrim 1844 house and entered so that this gentleman could sign us in and then we could be led to our room by this gentleman who demo'ed the bathroom and the main room before Ben explored the ladder to the famous George Meade viewing space where Sarah stood (though she didn't seem to be surveying the troups). The kids room was equally elegant with this bed for the girls and this one for Ben complete with a sign to let us know if they were in and their goodie bag as Jane put on her new hair band and we captured images of the famous Antrim soap (in various lightings) before the kids posed as did their parents and we paid our respects to the old man before we went to the rehearsal dinner where we met Bonnie and Larry before Emily appeared with Bonnie and we could find our way to the table where the 3 wives sat as this barmaid poured me a glass of Riesling and the kids settled in at the table while Dick arrived so that we could take pictures of those assembled at our table -- Jane, Sarah, Ben Dick, Jane, Sarah, Suzanne, Janet David, Larry David, Larry, Dick and Bonnie, Fran, Suzanne which made us hungry and so, happy to have food from the buffet as Sarah and Ben and Jane and Sarah enjoyed their meals as Barbara and Eric arrived and posed with Dick before Janet befriend Bob and Carol who now live in Muncie, Indiana and we returned to the table to see Dick, Penny and Jane as Ben enjoyed his food and we admired the centerpiece while cousin Toby, the one from the Klein side, passed by and this photographer took our picture which seemed to amuse Bonnie and Fran as my profile captured Larry and Dick and Dick and Penny chatted as Uncle Scott appeared with Toba before the bride appeared in her nice hat and Scott and Toba talked of things as Jane and Sarah had their own conversation and the chandelier gave us light.

Meanwhile, at the table, Dick and Penny and Jane and Sarah were continuing conversations as the glasses accumulated and Eric and Andy stood by the door and the conversation between Jane and Sarah continued as Bruce (Brian's dad) came into view and Ben went off to take a few artistic shots before discovering M&M's duct taped under his chair which roused him a bit as he emerged from his chair and closed in on Jane even as Jane and Sarah continued their conversation and Larry and I looked crossways as Janet and Ben must have been admiring the light as conversations continued with me and Larry Larry and Jane Jane and Dick Dick and Penny Penny and Sarah Bonnie, Fran, Suzanne (partly obscured) and Penny Bonnie, Fran and Suzanne Suzanne, Penny and Bonnie Janet and me Ben Dick and Sarah Bonnie Suzanne Jane and these self portraits of me and me and Janet as the desserts were served

and Ellen returned so that Ellen and Larry could ponder the desserts as we captured Aunt Florence and Sarah did her study of the shoes people wear

while Ben escaped the frame but I admired the bride and groom balloons and Sarah and Jane watched Andy (bride's father) and Vickie (groom's mother) deliver their toasts after which Vickie posed with Dick and Fran and we met Dan and Rachel who were late arrivals.

The next morning we woke up and found this tray on the man in front of our room along with the paper that we could read and Ben came to visit while his sisters slept and Suzanne and I slowly made our way and ran into Rachel who posed with Ben as we went to the children's room and then to the tower from which General Meade saw Gettysburg and I saw Suzanne and then the views in all directions (but no Gettysburg) as we looked down the spiral staircase and then made our way to breakfast where Emily and Jim sat with his parents and then Jim and Emily posed as did Toba, Eric and Barbara before we made our way to our table were Fran, Jane and Sarah Dick and Fran and Jane admired the flowers while I looked down upon my orange juice and the picture of the hunt as Ben took pictures around the table including Dick me Suzanne Fran Jane Sarah and Ben until my breakfast came with very prominent eggs and Sarah dug in as Penny and Bonnie arrived and chatted to Jane and Sarah as Ben was consumed by orange juice and Penny and Bonnie enjoyed their meal before Aunt Dot came to visit as did Barbara

There followed a room tour beginning with the room of Penny and Bonnie and moving on to the kids room

followed by the venture tot he barn which we entered to see where Dick and Fran were living sleeping living heating bathing and eating and after admiring their grounds it was time to head to Gettyburg where we saw the Eisenhower shuttle and learned of our options before entering the visitors center and seeing recruitment posters weapons and a confederate flag before running into Janet and Larry who were off after finishing the electric tour and then hiring our guide who led us through the battlefield.

Once at the battlefield we saw the monument to O'Neal's Brigade from New Jersey and Archer's Brigade (he's a Princeton alum) and various other views before we got to Robert E Lee

and then some views en route to Devil's Den where we climbed and took many pictures of Ben, Jane and Sarah

then one of our guide before we were back int he rocks in various groupings

and various views culminating in these full family photos after which we went to visit General Warren, the New Jersey hero, in a place that was incredibly windy and collected photos while we marveled at his ability to not be affected by the winds as we all enjoyed his view

and then read his text and captured Sarah's shadow before recording another New Jersey marker and making our way to General Meade

and then back to the visitor's center for a photo with our guide before we went in and met Jim and his mother.

Next we headed off to the Dobbin House (they spell it wrong!)

and after admiring their signs and history we found our way in where we met Janet, Larry and friends and after recording their signs, Larry took Sarah out to record his signs and then we were finally seated so that Fran Dick Penny and Larry could settle at my table while the rest of the family sat next door though Dick and Bonnie could only admire Jane's hot chocolate while I realized that my food was too white and so admired Dick's lunch and Larry's iced tea but we could just admire the brownie a la mode at the next table before driving back to get gas at this station with this welcoming sign as I took these artistic pictures with flash and without while waiting for the gas. Back at the hotel, we found a campaign sign we could believe in (though we were later to hear that it was too small).

Now, it was time to get ready for the wedding. As Jane finished dressing Ben posed for a few pictures and I checked the internet to see that my teams were doing quite well in the March Madness before recording Jane Suzanne Sarah Suzanne and Sarah Jane, Suzanne, Sarah Jane, Ben, Sarah Ben, Sarah, Jane and starting towards the wedding where we met Toba and after another picture ran into Clay who is running the finances for Andy's campaign. Next we saw Betsy and Matt and took a few pictures down our row before the ceremony began and then paused until the cocktail party where Jane spoke with Clay's wife and Jane posed with Clay and wife and then Ben joined the picture with Jane and Clay and his wife before I ran into Rachel and Dan and borrowed Dan's hat and then captured Dick and Eric and Eric and Fran before heading to our table and capturing the family and then Aunt Florence as she made the motzeh and the photographer who captured our table even as Ben decided to take artistic photos of the table and its lighting and Sarah and more lights and even more abstract pictures of light and darkness

before he turned to pictures on the table

which helped him pass the time at an adult oriented event. I passed my time by having a delightful conversation with Daniel Hiefitz and his wife and then Jane Jane, Ben, Sarah, Betsy and Fran posed before we saw the wedding cake which amused Sarah as the bride and groom danced and Larry and Bonnie (notice Yitz and Lynn in the background) and Dick and Bonnie posed before we took a few last pictures of the centerpieces and headed to bed for the night.

Sunday morning, Fran and Suzanne posed for some artistic photos on the steps as we looked down for one last picture of Suzanne and Fran and then made our way to breakfast where Fran and Bonnie Suzanne and Penny Penny, Toba and Fran Fran, Barbara and Bonnie were chatting as the table was set and the breakfast was served. For me, the highlight was getting to pose in the kimono even as Eric and Dick conducted business in the corner

and then decided to invite Ben into their cabal. Once the torch had been passed, we were ready to head home (with one small stop on the Pennsylvania Turnpike) and wish Ellen and Brian a wonderful life together.
