Next thing I knew, it was again my birthday (or a celebration of my non-birthday for which the office produced this cake (also for Kris who shares my birthday)
and then we had lunch with the Havurah at Lahiere's
after which Leigh Schmidt (Religion) came by
and Karin Trainer brought a present which Ann Haliday and Sandra Gillette enjoyed
and later I had a chance to enjoy because I got to sort the pennies
The next day was the family celebration. When I came home, the decorations were set
and I had received this nice card
and brought home this book which was a gift during the day
and so we were ready to occupy the table
and start with the sushi
which Jane took
and enjoyed
before I experimented with light
and then took this self portrait
and then captured Sarah and Ed
as Suzanne posed
as did Jane
and Sarah and Ed
seemed more interested in the food we had
and that which had been imported from Zabar's
and Penn Station (nothing better than Krispy Kreme's)
along with the carrot cake for my birthday
complete with candles (but never enough because of the fire codes)
as Suzanne celebrated
and I put on the substitute birthday hat
so that the candles could be blown out
we could admire the chocolate salami
and I could have Krispy Kremes for my birthday
